The is nothing better than live theater and the Charles Wood Theater offers spectacular experiences for those who love it. Having seen many performances at the Wood, I can honestly say I have never seen a bad show. The venue is perfect with not one bad seat in the house. Everyone involved in putting on the shows is a delight,... More

Visited this theater for the first time. Small. I believe any seat would be good. Easy nearby parking. Concession with some tables. Beverages...not sure if there was alcohol offered. Biscotti, local candy. clean bathrooms. Ticket prices very fair. We saw "The Whale". It was very well done. All the actors were great. One of those plays you keep thinking about.... More

We were just at the Jim Brickman concert. It was wonderful. We had front row seats. It was a wonderful concert and the theatre made it feel like he was at our house. We would go again

The Wood is a nice small theater, that offers a variety of entertainment throughout the year. I loved the fact that the seating allows you to feel you are a part of the performance.

Music, plays, great events of all types in a small venue where you can actually see the performers expressions. Feel like part of the performance. Not to be missed!

We live in Glens Falls and have seen numerous productions at the Wood since it opened. Yes, Adirondack Theatre Festival has made the Wood Theatre its home and is an outstanding company, offering a wide variety of productions during the Summer. During the rest of the year, the Wood Theatre hosts a number of local and regional groups that offer... More

A very nice theater (8 years old) in an old Woolworth store on the Main drag in Glens Falls. Every seat is a good seat, but my only problem is the seats are too close together. I am 6’2” tall and I did not have enough leg room. My knees were crunched into the seat in front of me making... More

299 seat house with raked seating and up-to-date equipment presents Original Plays and Musicals due to enlightened policy of Director Mark Fleischer. Recently premiered Heartbreaker, a young songwriter's memoir of his time with Judy Garland in a dynamite production that starred Tony nominee Christine Andreas. If you're spending time in Glens Falls, check out this forward thinking, cutting-edge venue.

The Charles R Wood Theater is a real treasure in downtown Glens Falls. It features an lovely, restored, intimate theater where you can see show and musicians. There's more to the Southern Adirondacks than just Woods, lakes, Trailer parks, dude ranches and rodeos

have attended a number of productions - have always enjoyed them - but only major concern i have is the cramped seating - there is NOT a lot of leg room - and if a play is very long, you have a seated reminder - if you need more leg room, be sure to book in the balcony where you... More
