Have spent many HAPPY fishing holidays on this Lake, both on houseboats and shore accommodation. The wild life is still fabulous to watch, no matter how many times you see these animals, each occasion is truly special. Fishing is a wonderful way to pass time, especially in the company of good friends and a few cold drinks and of course... More

Lake Kariba is just a few hours drive from Lusaka. We made a day trip out to the dam and lake and had a great time. If you like to get on a boat and bask in the sun with good friends and a few drinks this is the place to be. The lake has a few islands which you... More

Just come back from an amazing Zimbabwe Trip. We travelled on the ferry to save driving from Vic Falls to Kariba. The 22 hour journey was so relaxing and good opportunity to travel the length of the lake and take in the Kariba magic all the way. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the meals were fantastic too! We... More

This town is a shadow of its former self. With a bit of investment and some well guided maintenance this town could become a great international destination.

We have been visiting Lake Kariba for five years (twice a year) so you can say, we love it. It's a long way from England but the remoteness of our chosen camps, well worth the journey. We go for the wildlife and the fishing. What you do need, is time! We are fortunate enough to be able to stay a... More

Kariba ! The very name conjures up a special place, an exotic place, a place of fables & myths, a place of heroics and a place of wonder and magnificence and beauty and awe ! All of these are true of the greatest man made lake in the world, in the heart of Africa. A place where escapism and the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed 3 days at the Kariba Bush Club. The staff were most accommodating, the food was delicious and it was an extremely relaxing time. The en suite chalet was decorated in typical African style and the area was quiet and peaceful. The sunset cruise and dinner was a memory I will always cherish. The surrounding islands are full...
