Douz folk museum

Small but very interesting. The signs are in Arabic or French but the displays are interesting and sometimes self explanatory. The display of plants is excellent.

Well worth a visit for about an hour. Covers the geology, geography, people and clothing of the desert. It is a new-ish museum. Small parking area at the front.

Was surprised when I visited this museum with friends. The guide that worked there did a great job in explaining to us about all the displays. It was fun to learn more about the Saharan culture. It was also air conditioned-- so that was nice in.
