My husband and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and got a private tour since we were the only ones there for the first time slot. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable (he actually works there making spirits also), and we learned a lot about the process of distillation. The distillery has a really great story behind it, and the... More

Despite the fact that I have no ability to tell a good whiskey from a bad one, the tour was interesting and sampling of products informative.

We stumbled on this place when spotting a sign on the side of the road. Made it just in time for a tour and actually ended up getting one of the founders as our tour guide. Really interesting story about how they came to be, and a true underdog story of perseverance and creativity. How these guys ended up making... More

Excellent tour and knowledgeable people about the history of the area and the distillery. Very good restaurant onsite and not pricey.

Loved this stop. Very rustic. A fantastic atmosphere here, and that's before the tasting kicks in! The people working here are just great and the whole place was cheery. We knew the Manhattan whiskey, so it was nice to try some others. They also do vodka and gin. We got to sample 3 on our tour. The gin was surprisingly... More

Really fun tour and history of a remarkable success story. Fun juxtaposition of modern distillery equipment and old (almost antique) bottling facility. It's a unique combination of handmade product in large quantities. The sampling is a bit limited due to NY State laws. I would have liked to try a few other items, but all was good. Worth a trip... You must appreciate the story behind this place. Take the tour and learn how this self built distillery came to be. The tour and tasting room are staffed by friendly knowledgeable staff. The spirits available are unique and taste great along with the many other items there for sale. We went as a party of 12 to kick off a... More

If your choice of a great bourbon is ... oh, Maker's Mark, then slide down to a bourbon that is so good, well, that a non-bourbon drinker became converted. Expensive? If you are familiar with Boodles gin, then you know it's not about the cost. Period.

Dropped in for a tasting on a weekday. Not a lot of counter space, so wouldn't take many visitors to crowd things up, but we had the place to ourselves and the experience was very positive. The woman who took care of us was pleasant and knowledgeable, and the products were delicious and diverse. Besides the whiskeys, we really enjoyed... More
