We ate at EB Elliotts for dinner and the food was excellent. The acoustics in the upstairs dining room were loud when we arrived due to a party, but calmed down when they left. The bill was not cheap as expected, but the service is average at best, with a waitress who seemed rather disinterested and not very attentive. We... More

There are many great places to eat here. It's not the Hamptons but it is a good substitute for the peons.

I have lived in the area for many years! "The mile" has gone from real deal seafood restraunts to a bikers spot to know a dump! Crowd is lacking serious morals and values. I guess all the restraunts if that's what they are wanting to be called are capitalizing on serving alcohol to kids and gouging the hell out of... More

The best thing to do is walk the entire mile. You can pick where you want to eat, shop, browse, golf, or just have an ice cream. Plan on a few hours of total enjoyment.

Love the area. Makes you feel like you are not in Long Island. Manny little restaurants some pricey while others are not. Live bands, drink specials. When in the area you have to visit Jeremy's in the middle of the mile. It's a staple. Strong drinks great food and not expensive at all. The season just started. Now get out... More

Love the mile, but they didn't have much open yet, the season started later in the year. Ice cream and pizza about all there is this time of year.

lots of good restaurants, a few interesting stores, nice gazebo at the end for views of the bay, ice cream and Italian ice venues, fresh fish markets, pleasant place to stroll on a nice summer day or evening. Gets crowded on weekends at night with music at almost every restaurant. Gets a young crowd.

You can't beat "The Mile" for drinks, food, music, or people watching in the summer. Just come early before the parking gets bad and remember the music has to stop midweek at 10pm and 11pm on weekends.

EB. Elliot's on the Nautical mile is one of many hosting live music. Though the winters are slow there a few locals places keep the music playing. Check out the listings and look for such bands as The Rockin 45s , Generations, and Noize. These are bands that get you dancing and keep you on the dance floor.

Great place for dinner, drinks or even just a long walk, listen to the bands as you walk by each restaurant.
