We took friends from England to visit Freeport's nautical mile last week. It turned chillier than expected so we wound up in one of the shops to purchase light jackets, which were under $30.00, and continued to walk the nautical mile which is one of the most fun things to do in the Summer. It is teeming with people in... More

Great place to spend and evening walking by the water and a limitless number of restaurants to choose from. Live music and great food.

Great place with many restaurants offering fantastic and fresh seafood meals. Nice to walk around to take in the cool salt air and music coming from many of the local establishments. We stopped at one place for a drink, another for clams, and still another for ice cream. You can even get some nautical and antique shopping done too.... the... More

Always have a great time! There is something for everyone! Many different types of restaurants to choose from, plus many rally nice gift shops or go for the big bucks and buy a boat!

A nice place to go on a sunny afternoon or in the evening for dinner. There are stores to browse and buy items with a nautical theme. You can buy fresh seafood right off the boat or in one of the many seafood stores. Plenty of places to eat and listen to music.

While staying in Uniondale for a wedding, our last night we decided to check this area out. And boy and I glad we did! Rows of restaurants, live music, and a nice diverse crowd. It was Mother's Day and beautiful out, so the place was packed! Highly recommend checking it out if in the Freeport area. We stopped at Bracco's... More

It was very disappointing. Not many shops and only a few restaurants. Very honky tonk. Very run down.

A very nice place to stroll but there are very few stores and lots of bars. Many boats docked so if that is your thing... Parking is an issue. Still, it is a good way to while away a couple of hours.
