My husband and I attended the playhouse on a Sunday afternoon. We were thrilled with the production but very disappointed no food was available at the adjoining tavern at all. We had arrived early in anticipation of a light lunch. At intermission we were able to get soda at the bar. We asked if there were any refreshments available and... More

I love this theatre. This is the third year we have had season tickets. I wish I could take it to California with me

This theater is a gem. We went twice already this season and we are going again on Thursday night. We took 6 grandchildren ages 4 through 9 to see Shrek and they loved it. I wish that there was a different children's show this summer so that I could take them again.

This is summer theater in it's purest form. The building is very rustic and small but the cast do a great job making up the difference. You can get a decent meal, watch the play and then go to the cabaret after the show. The cast do it all, waiters, singers dancers and bartenders. The seats are a little uncomfortable... More

We stumbled on this little gem last year and were very impressed; Have returned several times. I can't get over the talent that this playhouse attracts. They put on fantastic shows for a smaller place at a very reasonable price. Just came home from seeing Damn Yankees. What a terrific performance. I can't get over the fantastic voices and choreography... More

I've renewed my subscription here for years because of the quality of performances and shows. Now with the new management there is even more reason to go back. The improvements have been steady, transforming this intimate theater into a destination. Go to the cabaret, have dinner, see the play, view the changing art shows. The diversity of the arts experience... More

In 1980 this theater was attended by our family because it was the only game in town - with banjo playing during intermission and simple happy productions. New management brought some sophistication and shows that were much more pleasant. BUT NOW? They are slick, super talented singers and dancers and serious dramatists. Their professional productions always display great enthusiasm and... More

Good acting, interesting play in a rustic theater. You have to know where you're going because it's in the middle of nowhere. They have a tavern/cabaret where things happen.

If you want to laugh until tears leak out of your eyeballs, 'Le Cage Aux Folles' at the Forestburgh Playhouse is where you want to be! Pilar and I were at the show tonight and frankly we haven't laughed that much in quite a while!!! It was just plain fun! Though all the actors and actresses did a magnificent job,... More

Just came from another great play presented by the Forestburgh Playhouse. This has been a wonderful season of presentations, so far. The playhouse is rustic and some of the seats are old but the presentations are energetic and chock full of talent. Loretta Switt was in two of the shows. This season has been musical shows and the music is... More
