A small zoo but each exhibit is done in such a way to give a feeling of naturalness while giving a good view of the animal. The zoo is in 2 parts. One side of the road is the children's section with a barn animals and a petting zoo. The other side of the road has the proper zoo. It's... More

Although small, the Queens zoo is an excellent place to bring the kids. The exhibits are interesting and kid-friendly. There's a small amusement park, and even the Hall of Science. Flushing Meadows Park is a great place to spend the day with the family \

If your looking for lions and tigers and bears, this isn't for you. This zoo is for my elementary aged and younger fans. Has a nice selection of animals to keep an young child entertained and happy. Also a good idea to plan your trip around the sea lions feeding time so you can catch the show. The aviary is... More

Spent just over an hour at this peaceful zoo amidst the surrounding concrete jungle. Pros: + Nestled amongst a spacious park with hundreds of mature trees, a great place for lunch + Excellent animal viewing areas, terrific for up-close photography (especially the pumas) + Pleased to see the animals have spacious and diverse living quarters relative to most zoos +... Nice place to take the kids gather for a family BBQ and spend some quality family time. Nice staff and not packed and crowded like other NYC attractions.

Greeted at entrance by a very friendly staff member, other staff members throughout park greeted us with smiles. The grounds were clean and well kept, I noticed lots of improvements since my visit last year. The animals looked healthy and there were guides that answered questions even if we were not part of their group. Great day!
