Had the most wonderful experience soaring at Harris Hill Soaring Club, Elmira. Its a small club run by volunteers and they do passenger rides daily during the summers. The staff are very friendly and spent a lot of time chatting with the staff about soaring and watching the beautiful sight of gliders soaring in the quaint Elmira countryside. They were... More

A nice facility with a combination of opportunities for soaring rides and an interesting museum dedicated to this sport. A very nice part of the community. The location offers tremendous views of the local scenery, both from the ground and while in the air.

I took my grandson to watch the glider planes taking off and landing. It is exciting to watch these planes with no engines floating in te sky powered only by up drafts and air currents.

As a young boy my father took me along while he enjoyed his passion for flying. One of our trips was to Harris Hill Soaring Center and I remembered as a ten year boy the fascination I had watching sailplanes catapulted off the edge of the flying field. Now 60 years later, thanks to my son buying me a ride... More

The sights and sounds while soaring are absolutely amazing! The views are incredible and well worth the time and money!!! I would recommend a soaring adventure be added to everyone's Bucket List and this is the place to do it from.

Have been coming here for years. Now sharing experience with my 15 year old daughter. Great physics and history lesson(ww2 glider training site). If you get motion sickness be ready. It was worth it but the ride up and the circular route can leave you a bit queasy. Not as bad as a boat ride on choppy water but similar.

Year in and year out, nothing beats a hot summer day/night than heading to Harris Hill. For the kids there are the 4 or 5 kiddie rides. For the mid teenagers and up there is the put putt, the driving range, mini go carts, softball and baseball batting cages. Nothing, I can honestly say, nothing up at Harris Hill is over... More

Took my husband up here for a special treat for his birthday. We waited in line a bit, but he was able to soar. His ride ended early and they gave him a complimentary flight at another date, of his choice. 2 for the price of 1 - thanks for the memories! Amazing!
