During our stay in Ellicottville we golfed at Elkdale Country Club (pretty nice), and also at Holiday Valley's Double Black Diamond Golf course. As a couple who love to golf, we look forward to challenging golf courses that can accommodate a man's long hitting, but also has forgiving forward tee locations for me, to keep the game a bit more... It's all year round fun. In the winter you can ski/snowboard, go in the hot tub, and go on the mountain coaster. Meanwhile in the summer you can swim in the pool, go mountain biking, go on the mountain coaster, climb though the trees in the sky high adventure park and much more! It has a very nice atmosphere and... More

Played in a recent golf outing and very disappointed in the condition of the course. I know there has been a lot put into it, but isn't close to what it needs to be for a resort course. The service and food for the banquet was solid but couldn't overcome the deficit the golf created.

If I hadn't been invited to a wedding in town I would not have thought of coming to Ellicottville or Holiday Valley since I don't ski or golf. There is much more to do though than those two mainstays. They have hiking, mountain biking, zip lining and a lot of other outdoorsy activities nearby or on site. It's not very... More

Holiday Valley is my home mountain. I have snowboarded all over North America and I still love riding at Holiday Valley. The variety of terrain is great. You can ride and ski in the woods anywhere you want which is great to have that freedom. Not to mention the incredible amount of lake effect snow/powder we get here. Ellicottville is... More

the lift ticket customer service lady was heartless. with no explanation or warning she voided a 10 pass card because we thought it was okay for another family member to use it. Instead of warning us of this, she voided it then made us pay for a ticket. On the back of the card is no mention of this voiding... More

HV is a very nice resort with very interesting ski runs, nice bars, and good lodges, but if going into the village to eat is on your agenda watch out as their police want to ticket you! Stay at the resort and pass on going downtown as it is not worth it.

This was our first time at this resort. We visited for 2.5 days during the Ontario March Break. Being an intermediate skier, I liked the variety of the slopes; it did not matter which chairlift you chose you can always come down on green and blue slopes (or black if you wish). The prices were good, I liked that you... More

For the 4th time skiing at HV, we spent late Saturday afternoon at the bar at the Inn. Steve the barman is very helpful and friendly, keeps the popcorn basket full. Makes big pina coladas, as well serves up good conversation. We catch up on his reno's on his 100+ year old farm-house. You don't meet many too former university... More

I have been going here for 6 years straight. Always a great experience. A short drive from Buffalo ( a bit over an hour) , so pretty convenient to get to. Prices are great and you can get checked in and on the slopes very quickly. Great place for the kids and intermediate skiier. Runs are short, but resort is... More
