It's a small home & Jackson Pollack's studio which you can go into & walk around on his painting drippings...
My husband and I visited here on our recent visit to the Hamptons. We saw an ad for the Pollock-Krasner House and called up to make a reservation (you need to do this in the off-season). Nobody answered, so we left a message and heard back fairly quickly. When we arrived at the House we roamed around and checked out... More
I was lost in the history and spirit of this old site. The house and fishing barn (studio) were well preserved to reflect a strong spirit of the years that Pollock & Krasner lived and worked on this site. It was a significant time for art history and this facility is a "GEM" that must be preserved for years to... More
Lovely feel to this place. The studio, a converted barn where Pollock and Krasner worked is a must visit. He left so much paint on the floor it looks like one of his paintings.
My wife was so pleased when visiting the grounds recalling the scenes from the movie. This visit acutally was on our bucket list. Checked that box.
Went there with my Pre-K class. It was always a great field trip and Ruby, our guide, always had a hands on activity for the children.
If you're interested in Art, American & social history or Pop Culture this is a great site to take in when in the Hamptons area. The house & studio are available by scheduled tour appointments only. Set aside at least an hour. I would not recommend bringing young children.
This house is an interesting part of hisorty and definitely worth seeing. The staff is informative and friendly. Mr. Pollock was very lucky to have such a BEAUTIFUL back yard.

The studio with the splattered floor where he worked and splattered walls where she latter worked also contained paints and tools they used. We took... More
The Pollock-Krasner House was certainly a surprise. Situated on a scenic inlet from a larger bay, its tranquility is in strong counterpoint to the abstract art that was created there. Seeing Pollock's studio is a highlight for art lovers.
