This winery is a class act. Absolutely beautiful building mixing both old (over 100 year old barn) with new (tasting room). the tasting prices are a little higher than some of the other wineries on the route but well worth it. They give you a decent taste of the wines and we didn't have a one we wanted to chuck... More

This is probably the classiest winery on Seneca. The overall ambiance was very nice, everything was nice, and the staff seemed the most knowledgeable. They have a nice patio next to the tasting room where you can sip on a glass. I definitely liked the wines here the best. Definitely a place to visit if you're going on a tour.

Tasted at many places. This was one of my favorite tasting rooms. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and above average wines (I'm from CA and am biased). Was casual/rustic, but also upscale.

Hermann J. Wiemer was our FIRST stop and ended up being our favorite!! The wine is delish, the people were friendly and fun, there's an edgy mix of modern and rustic in the main newly renovated barn where we did our tasting. The setting is beautiful and more importantly the wine is refreshing. Literally everything we tasted was GREAT and... More

When asked what winery to visit before dinner our innkeeper told us about Hermann J. Wiemer and said it was her favorite one for chardonnay. She was not kidding! We went to many wineries over our vacation and this one still stands out as the best Chardonnay we could find. The wait staff is very nice here. There really is... More

Great place - even though we got there just minutes before their last posted tasting time, we were welcomed by friendly staff and never felt rushed at all. Wines were some of the best we had on our trip around Seneca Lake, and the tasting room/barn is beautiful. It was a bit of a crummy day, which kept us from... More

Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best tasting wines in this region of the country. There are so many wineries in this region but this is an outstanding winery you should not miss! I will continue to order wines from them when my supply is depleted.

Very glad we stopped here. Small winery. Very quaint. Servers and other workers very friendly. Wine excellent. One of favorite wineries if not favorite on trip. A must stop on the Finger Lakes.

We do like the winery because of the great white wines here. They are in the true traditions of the Rhine Alsace region of Germany. We are fans of the dry ones and love the Rieslings. The staff is friendly and they know their products. The wines are on the pricey side but rank among the best of the region.
