Wiemer Vineyard is home to some terrific wines. The tastings are held in the same room as wine production which provides a terrific atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful even though they were busy.

We were sent to this winery by our friend who own a wine store in Pittsford NY. He made a call to winery letting them know we were coming by for a visit and tasting. We were received very well, given a tour of the winery and a detailed explanation of the three locations on the west side of the... More

Learned about the way wine was produced and saw the brand new barn that hold all the vats.they make different kinds and specialize in reisiling. They make a very reasonable priced red blend which is quite good. We ought the Pinot noir and haven't tried that yet. The winery looks like a large barn. So nice looking and clean. Many... More

The tasting room is inside a large barn and has plenty of room. The server was very knowledgeable about the wines as well as being very personable. There is an outside area as well where you can sit at tables and have a cheese or chocolate pairing with your tasting if you desire. The wines are very good here as well... More

HJW makes some of the best whites in the FLX. The old barn where they do their tasting is in the process of being refurbished (new historical accurate roof was just installed). They're staff is friendly and know their wines. Tasting of course has a fee.

Knowledgeable staff in an unpressurized setting, allowing for customized tasting flexibility. Contemporary barn like setting with view on some fermentation vats. The server was kind and knowledgeable and attentive with a personal touch, while still serving multiple patrons. We purchased several bottles in the adjacent store with efficient service.

Started out in 1980's as a one man operation by a German who knew how to make good wine. Has grown through the years to a world class winery. Expensive, but well worth it. The wines only grow in value as the years go by.

Well, this was second winery to visit on the same day. I can only think of good experience. Nice staff, gorgeous wines. Small fee for tasting. I recommend this place.

We visited Hermann J. Wiemer on a Tuesday afternoon; there were a few other customers, but it was not terribly busy. Our research prior to visiting indicated that the rieslings should be exceptional, but they were not, and they did not stand out compared to other highly regarded wineries in the area. Our server was friendly but not particularly engaging,... More

I can't say enough about the wine, the grounds and the sweetest staff they have here. Our sweetest lil Kay. Oh how we loved you!! She was like a little ray of sunshine and made our visit throughly enjoyable. I am not typically a chard drinker but I just had to buy theirs. It was that good. The Rieslings of... More
