Great camp site within a very manageable distance from NYC. Great facilities, big camp site with ample room for lots of tents. Tent sites have a fire pit and lots of shaded spots.

This was our second stay at the campground at Croton Point Park. It is the closest campground to New York City that we have found. And this is by far one of the prettiest campgrounds we have stayed at. I loved walking the dogs in the early mornings during the week when the park and beach are quiet. There is... More

Pros: Tent spots are spacious and nice but a little far if you are hiking in or planing on using beach area. Foraging is nice and a fun learning experience. Cons: Lots of bugs, could not use a floaty in the water. Came home with crazy bites and stings

One of, if not THE prettiest walk(s) in Croton. The park lies alongside the Hudson River & is lovely any time of year.

We had a couple hrs to kill waiting for an Amtrak train so crossed the short bridge to Croton Park. It is such a nice place with wide stretches of the Hudson River surrounding a beautifully maintained park with plenty of tables, beautiful river views and a sandy bathing beach. The only negative is a ramshakled bath house that needs... More

it is OK, we went for the clearwater festival so it was quite full and because it had rained and was raining it was a bit muddy but some nice vistas, nice breezes, maybe it's nice for a picnic or something. i didn't see any children's areas or bbq areas but maybe i didn't check the whole thing

I can't believe you have to pay an insane $5-$10 to park at this place during the peak months. The views are beautiful but there are other spots along the river that you can park at for free and take in the serenity.

We were here for 17 days both visiting New York, Hyde Park and West Point. This is a marvelous center for traveling to all three. The level, treed sites are rock, have a picnic table, spaced out, have good hook-ups with 30 A and are just delightful. There is no wi-fi and no cable but we had some over the... More

I loved this park as a kid and had such amazing times here! The park is relaxing and has great views. Perfect place for the family to go on a nice day.
