The scenery is so beautiful that it's hard to take a bag photo. Right on the Hudson with a beach, camping and rental cabins, It's such an ideal spot. Thousands come here each year for the Clearwater festival in June to celebrate music and the Hudson River over a long weekend. The park is open all year. Once settle by the... More

If you have a tent camp site, don't expect to sleep! Nobody knows when or if there are quiet hours. There's no night staff to enforce it, or to help with any potential problems. We camped across from a group with 5 cars full of people and they played their car stereo loud enough for all to hear until 11... More

We'd drove through the park looking for the dam but what we saw was spacious, clean and picturesque. There was ample parking and facilities that I'd be prepared to pay for and a patrolled beach. It also looked like a popular camping ground as it was full of campers.

A friend of mine recommended this place over two years ago and it was today 08/30/14 that I decided to have a family picnic there. It is a beautiful place. Everything is so green, so quiet, clean and beautiful. Parking lot was $5.00 for private cars. Call the office for bus permits. I didn't see any place to purchase food,... More

We have our annual Baptisms at this park. The park is clean and quiet. Limited tables and grills, so if the park is crowded, you may not get a chance to grill your food. Best bet is to go early when the park opens at 9am. Entrance fee is $10, $5 if you're coming with a group reservation. The bathrooms... More

We stayed here in late June 2014 for 4 nights. Our purpose for choosing this campground was convenience to NYC, but far enough out of the city we wouldn't have to drive the camper through. This was perfect for that purpose. We made reservations in January and were a little concerned as we didn't have to pay a deposit and... More

Nice river walk evocative of some of the New England ones. Rocks and some wild flowers added to the charm. Very nice sunset across the water.

The park is located near the Croton railroad station and borders the Hudson river. The views are magnificent and great all year round. It is a good walking place but there are a few isolated areas where one cannot be seen so not terribly safe in my opinion. During the "season" there are parking fees which I still find annoying... Great for seeing bald eagles-older and young ones-in winter; particularly in March, in their natural habitat.

We arrived here on 7/5/13 in our 40' RV, and stayed a few months. Not only is this park beautiful,(we were here Summer and Fall) but well maintained. What has made this stay so enjoyable is the staff. You couldn't ask for nicer people, who are there to help out in any way possible, to ensure your time here is... More
