The Rockwell Museum was incredible, some wonderful pieces, a pleasant feel to the place and an excellent location. A good day trip

Yes, and it is excellant. In a beautiful historic building, incredible paintings, scuplture, and photos. Even a great gift shop with things actually worth buying. Don't miss it.

Beautifully restored century building showcasing both traditional and contemporary Western and Native American art and artifacts. Some installations feature the traditional, idealized version of what people thought the west should look like, while other pieces show a playful or alternate view of that world. Very worth your while to visit. Good deal: pick up the combo pass to the Corning... More

This is a museum of western art, not a museum of Norman Rockwell's works. It is small and housed in Corning's former city hall. It has an interesting collection of art depicting the western US in the 19th century.

Very interesting exhibits. Stimulating environment and part of a wonderful community. When visiting the COrning Museum of Glass, the Rockwell is an excellent and unexpectedly worthwhile place to visit.

Really enjoyed this collection of paintings, sculptures, models and guns representing the culture and history of the western US. The exhibits are found on 3 floors with elevator access available. The small shop has a good selection of books and other souvenirs for sale. We saw everything in a little more than an hour. The Gaffer (historic) district is just... More

We're not huge fans of western art but we went because of the joint ticket with the Corning Museum of Glass - we were really glad that we added the stop, we spent about 1.5 hours in the Rockwell Museum and very much enjoyed the traveling exhibit. The permanent collection was very nice, but not really our style. The staff... More

There are several styles of art represented here to express western art including paintings, sculptures, and authentic Indian objects. The paintings reminded me of my trip out west last fall. The special exhibit by Hogue was also fabulous!
