We bought the combination money saving ticket with the Corning museum of glass. We try, but our family is not really into art so we should not have bothered to purchase, but that said, we pleasantly enjoyed ourselves. They are working hard to entertain the younger crowd with a room dedicated to some hands on activities that gave us 20... More

Imagine getting into a museum after 5 o'clock and seeing marvelous works by an Inuit sculptor and then going up stairs and seeing some of the Robert Rockwell collection of iconic paintings and bronzes by the artists that influenced movies and advertising for almost 100 years.

This is a wonderful museum which includes in its collection of western art some familiar top flight artists such as Frederic Remington, Albert Bierstadt and Thomas Moran. It's western artifacts are excellent . It is a comfortable museum to visit and linger over paintings without disturbing anyone. Nice gift shop and a friendly staff ( typical of the people of... More

We got the combination tickets for here and Corning Museum of Glass. The Rockwell Museum is very clean and well kept, but is not the most interesting place you could be in Corning. The art is very beautiful, and the setup of the entire museum is very well planned out. If you have loud children, however, reconsider bringing them here.... More

This is NOT a Norman Rockwell Museum. While the Western art is lovely , I felt cheated. If you are an art lover, this is for you. If not, skip it and don't buy the combo ticket at Corning Glass Museum

For a small town museum both the building and the collection / exhibits are pretty impressive. Three floors to walk through - and they also have an interactive area for young folk to learn about art and expression. Save on entry fees by combining with the Corning Museum of Glass and/or with AAA membership. If you like museums and collections... More

The Rockwell Museum collection includes a display of contemporary Native American art, Western art including sculptures, paintings and special exhibits. The second floor gallery pays tribute to Frederic Remington and Charles Russell with their paintings. The third floor offers different perspectives of art between the Indians and Cowboys. A special focus is the controversial sculpture "End of the Trail"-of which... More

If you would like to see some beautiful Western Art I would highly recommend you visit this museum. The Rockwells put together one of the best collections of paintings and scuptures of Western Art in the country.

We visited on a Sunday (free) with our 2 children. They are 4 and 6 and the Rockwell has done a nice job building a picture/find-it scavenger hunt. It is simple, for nearly all ages and requires you to study pictures a bit to find the clues; very well done. Once the kids find the items, they are rewarded with... More

I've gone a few times over the years. I love the art work, but my kids got bored after a bit. However, it's not a large place so it doesn't take a lot of time to see everything. It's a fun place to spend an hour or so along with other attractions in the area.
