Was in town for the Hall of Fame induction and took a break to do the boat tour. The sights are nice, but about the same for the entire trip. The boat ride begins with about 5-10 minutes of recorded history/commentary. The narrator sounds extremely subdued as if she's trying to lull you to sleep. I had to laugh at... More

My wife and I were in town for the Glimmerglass Opera and decided to go on this boat tour. It was a wonderfully relaxing tour on a beautiful lake. A bit of history was provided but not overdone. The captain/owner takes pride in keeping the boat very clean. We would go again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed this trip around the lake. It was a relaxing way to end our day and a nice break before dinner.

This whole area is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the quiet serenity of the guide And the boat ride. In a world of noise and the constant barrage Of electronics and advertisements this is a welcome respite. The staff on the glimmer-glass the hotel And the restaurant were polite and accommodating. We would highly recommend this lakefront And it's amenities... More

They didn't seem to want to sell us tickets or take our money, and their manner was quite indifferent. We showed up for the last boat tour of the day (5:00 departure) at about 3:30/4:00. They told us they didn't sell tickets until 4:30. We returned at 4:25. They still didn't act too interested in taking our money and informed... More

A Sunday in June brought us to this destination. The beautiful weather called for an examination of the lake. An hour before 3 pm we stopped by to inquire about tickets. Rules are: you have to show up 15 minutes before sailing (3 pm). If there are 10 passengers, they will sell tickets. There had been 20 inquiries, but no... More

Tulsa, captain, chef ,and ALL staff members congratulations on getting our amazing weekend off to a very high bar... Nothing short of spectacular as we looked for something unique and different to accommodate ALL of our out of town guests and family before our May 30th 2015 wedding...The night before 50 of us board this crystal clean boat and were treated to... The Glimmerglass Queen showed you wonderful views of the lake. It was about an hour long trip around the lake. The ride was very relaxing but it was a tad chilly on the day we went. The lake was just beautiful when you see it from the boat. We were the 3 people who made up the 10 required for... More

Excellent value for the money. Very informative. Length of tour, perfect. Learned a lot about the area with out feeling like I was sitting in a lecture, and, there was a lot of quiet peaceful time to take in the scenery with out chatter. Beautiful spot, so nice to see the lake this way.

We stayed at the Lake Front Hotel in Cooperstown and received one free boat ride on the Glimmerglass Queen. Otsego Lake was once known as Glimmerglass and was featured in James Fenimore Cooper's novels The Pioneers and The Deerslayer. The nine mile long lake is located in Otsego County, New York and is the source of the Susquehanna River. Our... More
