Beautiful, challenging golf course with great views along Otesaga lake, a must if you are a golfer! Also if you are considering spending the night look into the Otesaga Resort Hotel which is located at the end of golf course and lake. Charming estate with great customer service and wonderful meals.

I've played this course at least 50 times and will never get sick of it. It is an absolute gem. Challenging, scenic, perfectly manicured and well worth the money. Its not overly difficult, but you have to keep your ball in the short grass and be able to putt to have a good round. The undulating greens can be very... More

Great location with inspired views of Otsego Lake. I recommend walking, but warn you it's hilly. The course has a couple of long driveways ( or are those roads) that meander through it, and you have to cross the highway, by cart or on foot, twice to get from one hole to another. That doesn't read well, but trust me,... More

This is one of my favorite golf courses and I am somewhat of a golf snob as I have played all over the world in the top places including St. Andrews, Pebble Beach and Bandon Dunes. I like that it's a bit quirky and they would never make a similar course designed this way. The reason it's quirky is that... More

We only had time to play the back 9 early in the morning but what a wonderful experience. We decided to enjoy the scenery and not to keep score - just play for the joy of being there. Hit good and bad shots, but will never forget standing on the tee at 18 with the majestic Otesaga in the background.... More

It's just one beautiful view after another, which can be enjoyed while you challenge your golf skills on one of the most spectacular courses in the Northeast. Whether you're a seasoned player or a novice, this course is well worth playing. Where else can you play golf while being serenaded by on old-fashioned carousel at the museum across the street... I played this course with my 2 sons and they thought this was the highlight of our trip. Leatherstocking is an old time course (1906 I believe) - not tricked up like some of today's courses. Some bunkers but not the deep impossible to get out of kind. beautifully cared for, we golfed at our own pace - no one... More

I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday and the round was terrific. I love historic "old school" courses and Leatherstocking exceeded all of my expectations. Conditions were top notch and play moved quickly. I still like the Old Course at St Andrews better, but this is definitely in my top 10.

I was hoping to have a pleasant day of late October golf. We arrived to find the clubhouse staff more than congenial , as they offered to let us out about 45 minutes prior to our scheduled tee time. There was only one other foursome on the course. We played about ten holes before we were approached by staff and... More
