We followed the Cooperstown Beverage Trail here and had a great time. It was Hall of Fame Induction weekend so the place was packed. They handled the crowd with no problem. The flight of beer we chose was fantastic. They have a wide variety of tastes so my wife who doesnt like the hoppy ipa's was able to find a... More

Saw Old Crow Medicine Show here last Saturday. This was our first show here, so we really weren't sure what to expect. The parking lot had lots of space (though the attendant sent us and one other car way to the far end--not sure why, but we certainly had tons of space to ourselves), and it was very low key.... Coming from the land of microbrews, I was initially skeptical of how good could beer be from Cooperstown. Well, I was pleasantly surprised what I found. The tour was quite interesting and educational. This is a "world class" brewery. The beers are wonderful from Three Philosophers, to Rare Vos, to Hennepin. Belgian style beers which are well balanced and full... More

We went to the Decemberists concert on 7/26/2015. We were trying to arrive early, but ended up getting there right about 7pm. Had zero trouble parking. Not much to getting into the venue, no lines... We plopped our chairs down and watched. $5 beers I was told were good (not much of a beer drinker myself). Porta-potties seemed to make... More

Who would expect a world-class brewery on a side road outside Cooperstown New York? The environment is very well arranged, tours are available, and the gift shop is very interesting. Best of all, they sell their own product: wonderful authentic Belgian beer. http://www.ommegang.com/

We have visited Ommegang in the past. The first time, closer to when they opened, we were impressed (a delicious hot soup, crisp cold salad). The second time, not so much. This past weekend was our last visit. It's so easy to get on the hype bandwagon isn't it. Oh? $7.50 for fries? But their Belgian fries!!! Yeah, right. This... More

The most unusual experience I have ever had at a eating establishment. A friend of mine and I made the one hour plus trip to Cooperstown because the "food is great" and we wanted to do something different on a Saturday afternoon/evening. We sat at the bar in two open seats. The dining room was completely empty - not one... More

It was unfortunate that I did not have a good experience at this brewery/restaurant, I had high hopes and went out of my way to make a visit and reservation. Off the beaten path outside of Cooperstown, you drive through the white arched entrance and immediately think that you may have found something special. As a big fan of the... More

Service was top notch, Kieryn was super attentive and took excellent care of us. Atmosphere perfect. Food, some of the best we have ever had. The charcuterie and cheese platter were to die for as well as the chicken and waffles dish. The mussels were huge, superbly tender and flavorful. None of this goes without saying the beer is some... The beers at Ommegang are one of best out there. We did a tasting with Nick and it was fun and informative. I haven't tried a bad beer yet. Can't wait to go back.
