Serene and beautiful scenery. Beach is very clean with lots of benches to sit on if you don't want to sit on the beach.

Beautiful views, quiet in late September. We loved sitting, watching the sunset. Lots of wildlife and beautiful fall colors.

We would love to return to hike the trails in the park. Well maintained and beautiful. Need to return here when the leaves change. Watched 4 deer working their way through the park.

We walked around the beach portion of the park. It was very quiet as, we visited off season. It was pretty, and the water was about 70 degrees.

We hadn't planned to go to the park, but had extra time one afternoon- it ended up being one of the main highlights of the trip. Serene beauty- not to be missed.

such a beautiful lake. the settings and restaurants around the lake are excellent but expensive. Very disappointed that refills on soft drinks and tea were charged per refill. I have never encountered that type of charge before. Is this a NEW York THING?

My wife and I went to Glimmerglass State Park on the scenic Lake Otsego. There is a great beach from which I launched my kayak. There are modern, clean rest rooms and picnic areas.

The campsite is like a circular space with a picnic table that could seat 6 (8 putting chairs on each end), a spot for a tent, and a hole in the ground with a large grill over it. The grill is low to the ground, not one that stands upright to cook on. There are other sites right near each... More

We visited this park to hike its two mile trail on the shoulders of sleeping mountain -- a wide, well-maintained loop trail throughout, with a few hundred feet of altitude change, more gradual and a bit less steeper going up than coming down -- so the farther starting point, where there is parking at the trailhead, is the place to... We spent an afternoon exploring this gem of a state park while visiting the Cooperstown area. There is something for everyone here - some impressive history for the history buffs, nice trails for the nature lovers, up to date playgrounds for the kids, primitive camping sites for the outdoorsy types, lots of picnic tables and clean up to date bathroom...
