Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Scenic drive along the Lake from Cooperstown. The park was empty when we were there in November. Beautiful view of the Lake. Nice walking trails and a neat old covered bridge.

We make sure we get here (15 minutes up the lake from Cooperstown) every year. We come in October so the beach and café is closed but you can still stroll around and walk the trails through the woods. Oldest covered bridge in New York is here also (see my photos) and the fall colors are outstanding! A great afternoon... More

This is a small but interesting little park. Be sure to take time to find the covered bridge - the oldest one in the U.S. The park is right on the lake and the bridge is a short walk from the shore.

Wide open, clean with a beautiful beach .This place is simply one of the best state parks I've been to. Plenty of bbq grilles and green grass for playing games. A must to visit if you are in the area

A nice breach (not always 100 percent clean), with a life guard. Food is available but there are also grills, plenty of tables, and pavilions. The playground is brand new. Lots to do, spots, fishing, kayak rentals, and much more. A short drive from Cooperstown.

We visited the park while staying in cooperstown. We hiked a nice trail and just looked around. All the staff we met were more than helpful. It was a great day.

It is not often that you can tour a historic building, hike a long wooded trail, swim with beach and play basketball in the same park but all that and more is available at Glimmerglass State Park. We only took advantage of the approx. one hour loop hike but what a great park. Hyde Hall is on the property to... More

It was clean and well-maintained, but like most Upstate NY beaches/sand, the lake was only fairly clean and the sand felt gritty.

After our visit to the Baseball Hall of fame in Cooperstown we headed toward Albany. We made a spontaneous stop at the Glimmerglass State Park. We were glad we did. The views of the lake were very nice and the attendant let us in free--as a senior rate. The normal rate is $7 per car. There were lifeguards on duty... More
