Lake is beautiful, and the hour ride on the lake is well worth it. Brief history of the area is included which will help you learn more about the area

Otsego Lake is a blue, beautiful, deep, glacial lake. It is gorgeous to look at. We went out with friends on a boat, and had a lovely afternoon, touring the lake and swimming on the "sunken island," a rock formation that it is at a much higher elevation than most of the lake's bottom. The water was clear and a... More

The little town of Cooperstown is situated right on Otsego Lake. It is a quiet, beautiful lake. We ate dinner at the Hawkeye Grill enjoying the views of the lake along the golf course and long, green lawns. Perfect place to spend a warm, summer evening!

Otsego lake is about 8 miles long. Lots of rentals around to really enjoy the lake and see its tranquil beauty.

We took the boat tour and did some fishing off the shore. There is a cool castle on the lake if you take the scenic boat.

Otsego Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. It is understandable why it is nicknamed the Glimmerglass. Gorgeous water so clean you can see to the bottom!

Otsego Lake is the source of the Susquehanna River. Cooperstown Village is at the southern end. Glimmerglass State Park is located on the northeastern shore. The lake is 9+ miles long and 165 feet deep. It is interrelated geologically to the Finger Lakes, but it is not one of them because of a big difference: Otsego Lake is at a... More

A small lake (perhaps an addendum to the Finger Lakes?) with beautiful views from the west shore to the eastern (which is virtually undeveloped due to the topography)...

We had both a lunch and dinner here; both were very good. We ate in the dining hall by choice as it was very warm while in town. I had the Caesar Salad with chicken for lunch and it was great and reasonable priced.
