Beautiful historic stone lighthouse from early 1800s. Fantastic view of harbor. This is privately owned and is reportedly for sale!! Take a look and then walk down to ZeBro's Restaurant for dinner

I just pulled into the boat launch area to take a quick picture. I've seen the lighthouse in passing many times before. I hope someday that it will be open to public viewing. I was told that it belongs to the State at this time but it will cost a goodly amount to repair it. There is a little sitting... More

Like other lighthouses, the Barcelona Light has lost its place as a beacon for sailors on Lake Erie, overtaken by contemporary navigational devices. But it still stands near the Barcelona harbor as a symbol of the importance of light to mariners for tracking their journeys. This light is still in good shape, although forgotten, with a small yard, bushes and... More

The lighthouse was closed when we got there and we were unable to enter or climb. The location was nothing special.

Came upon this lighthouse by accident in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Can't say it is a must do but it provided 15 minutes of entertainment on our way to the wineries.

This is a WYSIWYG place - what you see it is what you get. The place is very simple little nook along the Seaway Trail State route 5. One mile off I-90. It's a good stop over on your way to the wineries and other nearby attractions.

look, for a quick one-stop, you can't beat the Barcelona Lighthouse on the shores of Lake Erie near Westfield... no entry, but the architecture merits pause... ironically, commissioned well before the Civil War, it never really went into service... recently, the owner listed it as real estate at $999,999.... but nobody has seen their way clear to acquire it...
