It's so peaceful at Wave Hill, it's hard to believe you're still in NYC. Absolutely beautiful grounds and gardens. Decent cafe and nice gift shop as well.

Wonderful place to relax, walk around, admire the beautiful flowers and trees, enjoy the magnificent view or just sit down with a great book. You can bring your own food and have a picnic in the designated areas or enjoy a snack at the cafe. However, the menu is very limited and expensive. Great experience and will definitely go back... Whatever season you go the views are lovely. It's an incredibly serene place as well. The only problem is that it may become a victim of it's own success. As more people discover it the more crowded it gets. Well hey - guess I can't be selfish. There are numerous cultural and educational aspects as well.

This hidden gem is located in the five boroughs, but not known to many. I myself did not know about it till recently. The idea of just green grass and flower gardens if foreign for the ones living in NYC. So, having a spot not far out of the city is great!! What I think allows for this place to... More

This is my second time here - it is so very peaceful, and such a pleasure for the senses - the amazing views, scents, colors, varieties, sounds - even the taste of the food in the café can be good; and it awakens my sleeping passion for plants - so many varieties and varietals. A full sensory gala experience!

I think this place is better for the native New Yorker as an attraction vs. someone who is just visiting needing to see it. Wave Hill is one of those peaceful places that lets you forget that you are in the . They have different attraction per season. I found it a very relaxing and beautiful place to visit when... More

This place is heaven in the Bronx if you can believe it! What a hidden treasure that I hope and pray never goes away! They charge a fee for admission but on certain days and time it is free to all thanks to large donors. They have a small parking lot which is $8 for as long as you want... More

Great place to visit. Parking is difficult. Great for walking and views of the Palisades can't be beat!
