The journey to the zoo is long way from mid town but so nice none the less. The subway stop and walk to the zoo is an eye opener especially if your trip was mostly in Manhattan. Great grounds and well laid grounds. It was the dead of winter so most animals were inside but the ones out were really... More

I lived in NYC a long time ago, grew up in northern Bronx at a time when a trip to anywhere else in the Bronx would have required armed guards. So it was with a bit of trepidation that my wife, son and I climbed aboard the D train from mid-town to head up to the zoo. The ride is... More

I love my annual visits to the Bronx Zoo despite the time consuming commute. Once arrived at the gate, you will enter into the "wild" by strolling nature's path, exploring a lush forest and its animals. I find the settings beautiful and as natural as possible. There are little water falls along the way, small bridges to cross, hills to... More

I loved the zoo. Wide variety of animals. Make sure you use your walking shoes . I would recommend you go for your visit in summer because in winter, lots of exhibits are closed.

I love the Bronx zoo! There is so much to do. The exhibits are well maintained. There is the petting zoo, 4D theater, monorails, camel rides, carousel, butterfly farm, face panting, and other interesting show for all ages! I highly recommend purchasing annual membership as it pays for itself!

This was such a fun day for my 2 years old and myself. there was a peacock just walking around. They have a wonderful merry go round and a tram with a guide that really helps you see more than just walking around on our own. I always suggest going on the free day but pay for the passes they... I was at the Bronx Zoo with my family including my 2 sons ages 5&8 years olD for a Birthday Party. Interesting enough that they catered to kids parties. I had no idea that this was offered. The sack bar and eating areas are big and spacious. There are tables and open spaces. It is very well kept and clean.... More
