This is a great zoo and I have been to many zoos but it is also different kind of zoo. Most zoos have an urban park feel. Like San Diego Zoo or National Zoo. Bronx is different. It feels more "rural" - the Zoo is so vast with big old-trees and the river that you can easily forget that you... More

Love every second of my time spent here. My kids love the Dinosaur addition. I'm a fan of the birds. Restaurant is a little pricy but the food is good.

I am a zoo aficionado. This zoo, by far is my favorite. You can spend the entire day there and not see everything! There are so many different animals. The exhibits are beautiful. There is a monorail:). Good food too. I loved the big cat area. Penguins!!!!

What an amazing zoo!!! We had a wonderful time. The weather was pretty dreary all day, but that didn't really affect the viewing of animals (It did however mean many food & snack stands were closed). The gorilla exhibit was probably the highlight of our visit. Definitely take advantage of the "Total Experience"--this will give you access to all of... More

Must say first that I live in The BRONX, with that said I love animals all types even humans which is probably the worst species. I feel like the animals are looking at us like we are their for their entertainment. Lack luster I would say. Certain areas are unappealing to the nose, but your in a ZOO LOL. Prices... More

I hate zoos. I just don't like to see animals in cages. Given that, the Bronx Zoo remains an amazing urban experience. I particularly appreciate the staff -- lots of diversity, but universally service oriented. I didn't appreciate the private school group that violated every request at the seal feeding exhibit -- climbing on the railings, pushing, shoving -- but... More

We go to Bronx Zoo a few times a year during different seasons. We see something new each time. Maybe some baby animals, or animals acting out. Always interesting and fun.

I love going to the Bronx Zoo and try to make at least one visit every season. When the weather is right, the animals roam outside; what could be better than that? They have lions, tigers, bears, mice, birds, fish, bats, everything and explanations of where they are from and if we are close to losing them. I have volunteered... More

Great zoo - spring for the Total Experience or you'll spend your day frustrated. Hit Mike's Deli in Little Italy for sandwiches before you go. Plan on spending all day.
