This place is actually very awesome. I didn't realize how huge this zoo was. I would definitely go again. I didn't do a good job in planning my day there, I went rather late 2:30pm but it was still worth it what we saw. I would definitely go early its a lot to see. Parking is $15 by itself so... More

The price of admission caught me by surprise, but once inside, well worth it. It is a first class operation. The original early 20th century facilities are extraordinary by any standard. The grounds are meticulously maintained. Given the givens, the animal habitats are impressive. The range of creatures expansive, across many continents and unusual locales. I was very taken by... Lots of animals to see. Nice surroundings. Make sure you have enough time to see all the animals as we arrived an hour after it opened and didn't stop all day and still didn't get around to all the exhibits. Only negative : they do work on the animal exhibits during the day so you don't necessarily get to see... More

I've always loved visiting the bronx zoo. Sometimes it can be a bit too crowded but its a lovely place to be. The animals are always in excellent health and the exhibits are well maintained. Also close by to Arthur Avenue and City Island for food options.

You do not want to miss this. Take an all access pass and see it all from the tropical forest to the tram ride. I love the reptiles. The food is standard fast type of style, though they try hard. I would suggest getting a sandwich from one of the Bodegas across the street. You will be happier.

We went to the zoo with two other couples and one child - age 4. She LOVED every minute of experience. Seeing animals up close that you rarely if ever would get to see otherwise was a great experience for all of us. We packed a picnic lunch otherwise that would have been pricey. The gift shop however, was very... More
