My 5 year old son loved it. Its right next to the zoo so we did both fairly cheap. My only stink was there is no place to eat, you have to bring your own food:/ More

If you're looking for something to keep the kids busy, entertained and happy the Discovery Center fits the bill. In addition they will come away with new knowledge. The Center is clean, well designed and endlessly interesting. Make no mistake it is for kids, although adults will find the interactive areas both clever and informative. Where else can your kids... There is so much to do here. A lot of thought and effort put into each activity. Went to one in NYC that couldn't even compare to Binghamton's More

Great for younger kids, interactive play for both boys and girls. They also have other social events you can sign up for different times of the year. More

The outside garden is wonderful and we can wander around out there for hours. Going inside can be an all day event. No matter how long we stay, my son never wants to leave. More

The discovery center is and always has been a great place for kids to explore and have fun at their own pace, but also you should know it is situated next door to the Ross Park Zoo, which also houses one of Binghamtons numerous Carousels. Did you know that Binghamton is the Carousel capitol of the world, having 6 of... More

My sister- & brother-in-law & their two very active boys (ages 2 & 6) came to visit over Presidents' Day weekend, & we spent 2 days at the Discovery Center because the kids loved it so much. The first day there, they didn't want to leave, & cried when it was time to leave. The adults commented that they liked... More

The Discovery Center is a GREAT place for children and hands on learning! There is lots to do and they have activities all the time that are free with museum admission. Strollers are not allowed in a museum because the walls are hand painted, theft could be a problem, and because they block fire exits and make for impassable hallways.... More

It was okay... Lots of kids, and none of the employees were helpful to lend a hand, or even a smile for that matter. They acted as though they were FORCED to be there. Anyways, worst of all is the simple fact that it's a KIDS place, and you CAN'T have strollers in there. You get to the door, and... More
