Giving all who support and contribute to maintain The Art Theater, a pat on the back. Bless you all. It is a nice (film) alternative with cultural aspects the large theaters don't offer. Prices are a bit steep and seats too uncomfortable for me but I commend your efforts!

This is the only place you will find Indy movies or anything slightly offbeat for that matter in the Binghamton area. The theatre is small but they do a great job getting this interesting films to our area and their prices are very reasonable.

For the Binghamton/vestal, NY area, lucky to have people offering choices of movies not supported by the chains. NYC and Philly you can get this fare. But in a small market area, The Art Mission is a labor of love first. THANKS!

My Binghamton friend has been trying to get me in here for a show for the last year. She finally did, with "Inside Llewyn Davis," a Coen Brothers movie. Great movie, the best atmosphere for seeing this great film, this setting for me made the movie much more moving than if I'd experienced it at the more traditional American theater.... More

I love how art missions features great movies that other theaters wont show and has affordable snacks. They only show 2 movies at a time so it can be tough to have to wait for something you've heard of, but they only show decent picks so just check it out!

The people are nice, the space is clean, inviting with a cool vibe. A well rounded and eclectic selection of movies year round, discounts for members, affordable refreshments-- thank heavens for the Art!

This is a tiny little theater, but features double screens, so they will always be showing two high quality independent and/or foreign films. The building is lovely, and there is a small art gallery space in the lobby area of the theater, usually featuring an exhibit by local artists. The restrooms are even unique and "artfully" rendered--the entire tiny space... More

This is a THE place in Binghamton to see independent and foreign films. The screening rooms are small but the seating is comfortable, the views are good and the patrons are well mannered. Concessions are fairly priced and include items such as flavored teas, sometimes cookies, usually coffee.

This is the only place to see many of the great films that don't get distributed to national theaters. There are two small theaters and always a choice of top notch films. Also enjoy the gallery while waiting for the film to begin.

While looking for a movie to see we stumbled across Wes Andersons "Moonrise Kingdom" playing at the Art Mission Theater after a search for local movies. We had never heard of the movie, nor the location but it sounded better than anything else playing at the big box theaters so we got directions and set off. When we got there... More
