Description: Edo's Camp has operated in the safari and game conservancy industry for...
Edo's Camp has operated in the safari and game conservancy industry for over a decade and provides professional, high-class safaris where adventure combines with an intimate atmosphere and skilled staff members doing their best to meet all your needs and let you feel at ease. However, our focus on sustainable tourism is a big feather in our cap. We strive to take our clients on a thrilling journey to cultural education and game conservation in order to give them a real insight into local communities, conservation and sustainable life in the Kalahari Desert. Let yourself be led on meeting the local San people of the nearby village and being taught on medicinal and edible desert plants and roots, visiting the nearby Children's Home or on experiencing the emotion of tracking one of our rhinos. Accommodation and Facilities at Edos Accommodation at Edos is in luxury Meru tents, classically African, overlooking an extensive pan lined with ancient Leadwood trees and incorporating a year round waterhole. We also have two chalets built with local stone and budget rooms off the pan, including a four bed family unit. Our central office is equipped with a mobile phone booster and is adjacent to a professional kitchen where our locally trained excellent chef, Russia, conjures up superb dishes focusing on local specialties and wherever possible, including game meat and veld products such as the delectable Bushman truffle and nutritious Morama bean. Our dining area is a professionally fitted Meru Style tent overlooking the floodlit pan and is an idyllic setting for dreamy African dining. Coffee after dinner can be enjoyed in our lapa area at the edge of the waterhole. Activities At Edo's we offer a combination of culture and wildlife and bring these two together in our unique offer of Rhino Tracking with the San Bushmen. Our activities include: • Rhino Tracking during game drives and with San Bushmen trackers is a highlight at Edo's. This is truly a unique experience and is one success story in the tragic demise of rhino elsewhere. • Game Drives with access to approximately 60,000 hectares of game conservancy where large numbers of plains game have been stocked including White Rhino, Giraffe, Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest, Springbuck, Red Hartebeest, Warthog and elusive predators including Cheetah, Leopard and Brown Hyena. Sunsets over this breathtaking landscape are unforgettable. • Guided Bush Walks with a guide and San tracker where you will be amazed at the knowledge these diminutive hunters have of this seemingly harsh desert environment. On average a hunter/gatherer can identify 80 species of plant including delectable edible plants and fascinating medicinal plants.

This is a place that can not be missed. Andy and Charles are wonderful hosts in a lodge that feels more like you are living with a family than staying in a lodge. Service spectacular but even better is the positive impact this place has in the surrounding community and the sense of place that you feel staying here. I... More

Very nice place, deep in the bush, nothing to deal with the touristic Africa. Still, all comfort are available in the tends. They offer Rhino tracking, walks in the bush with san people, bushman dance. Good food, nice people. Great views from the dining area and the tends. Near the lodge there is a pre-school for kids living in the... More

We were lucky enough to stay at Edo's in January 2014 for a few nights. It's now under new management and they are bringing some superb 'fresh' ideas to Botswana, the Kalahari, and the local people. The camp is well situated in the bush and it is a truly removed paradise. The individual tents are more-like small, luxury cabins. The... More

We stayed two nights at Edo's and loved it. It is a small tented camp with only 4 fully equipped tents. great food and friendly staff. Stephen, the manager was an excellent guide. The view over the water hole was amazing and we had a great time viewing white rhino's drinking at sunset. What a spectacular view!. The visit to... More
