If you live in Connecticut, NYC or lower NY and want to get one day of learning to surf or expand your learning this is a great place to start. The first step is to contact Bunger Surf Shop in Babylon, the home of the local legendary surfboard shaper Charles Bunger. His children now run the shop and are true... More

Always crowded and always fun. Boat docking is available and there's a small snack shack with burgers and drinks. There's usually some music playing on weekend afternoons. Just get there early to secure a parking spot.

Get the the Babylon town pass first. Then Enjoy this family oriented beach. One of my favorite beaches to go to on Long Island. Always a band playing at the little restaurant outdoors.

Gilgo Beach Inn is a local meeting place at the beach for locals and out of towners. Music on the deck on weekends brings friends together. Dock your boat and walk to the beach. Take a surf lesson. Enjoy a quick bite at their grill or enjoy a drink at the bar. Run by the same wonderful family for years... More

This great ocean beach is the perfect place for a summer day. The waves are great, so surfing is very popular here. This is a Town of Babylon beach, however so it's expensive to enter if you are not a town resident.

I've been here a couple of times. It was nice enough if you just want to spend a day at the beach. I can't say that it was anything above average.

Great surf and a place for your boogie board. Have a beer on the deck at the Gilgo Inn. Go with a town resident to avoid the parking fee.
