I think this experience sounds better than it actually is. The suits and booties were old, smelly, and worn out. I am a licensed PADI diver so I know about equipment. The breakfast and lunch were marginal. I was in the first group who got in the water and I am glad I was, because we only saw one shark... More

We stayed the night with friends in Hermanus Bay, then set off early to be at the office for 0730. Othere's were collected by the operator from Cape town and arrived late. We had a briefing and boarded the boat, where there was a scramble to get into the damp Ill fitting wet suits, smelling of the last users urine!... More

What could have been an amazing experience was marred by the fact that half the boat got sick enough to provide the chum! Knowing I was likely to get sick, I took three doses of medication prior to going out, yet I was still one of the many horribly affected by the huge swells. We saw many great whites, but... More

Professional company, no complaints there. Free food before and After. We saw MANY sharks, but there's no real adrenaline and it's hard to see underwater even with mask. Plus, they chum the waters constantly, so you get nasty fish guts in your mouth. Also beware seasickness, it took out half of my friends.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. The whole trip was amazing! The team we had that brought us out was fantastic. You have no idea how amazing and exciting it is to be face to face with a Great White. I wish we were able to go out for a second trip before we left beautiful... More

A very good company, which provided all the information and structure we needed for a very enjoyable afternoon. You can not ensure there will be lots of sharks just hanging out and waiting for you, but that´s part of the game, and having that consciousness just make the moment you spot then much nicer! We saw about 5 or 6... More

This was the highlight of our South African trip. Going down in a cage with massive Great White sharks circling you. Just incredible. Still remember the guide yelling Down, Down, Down, and being face to face with a great white shark. Unbelievable.

Our group of friends went Cage Diving Friday, 25 April 2014 with SDU. It was one of the best experiences we have ever had, the team we went with was friendly and very knowledgeable, we were fortunate enough to see 3 BIG sharks and everyone on board had enough time in the cage for the viewing! We will definitely be... More

I was initially excited by our visit to Gansbaai for this attraction. An early rise in Cape Town, a two hour drive couldn't deter that. On arrival, discovering we were from Perth, Australia (very topical on the shark front as 11 people have died on our coastline since 2000) the guide wanted to know if we'd signed a petition to...
