We came across this place while driving down Route 66. That's the perfect store to find antiques and rare pieces, especially for collectors and passionates. Gary, the owner, was very friendly with us while we were having a stroll around his store, where we had the chance to find and buy nice souvenirs of the Historic Route.

My girlfriend and I happened upon this Diamond in the Rough just on the edge of Route 66 and it was awesome. Do not get confused by the outside, it is hard to see the entrance, GO IN and enjoy the step back in time from his mother-in-laws fur coat, to the cactus paint by number that is now hanging... More

On our way to Colorado we happened upon this little historical Route 66 gem.The entire shop was filled with amazing antiques and beautiful handmade jewelry,The owner was by far my favorite part of the shop. He not only made us feel very welcomed and at home, he also suggested an alternate route that we would have never found on our... More

This place is truly amazing! It was not what I was expecting from the looks of the outside and around the building. Don't get me wrong, LOTS of antiques, etc out there, but when Gary opened the door to the barn, WOW!!! Bet he has anything you want in and around there! Thanks for the nice surprise, Gary and company!... More

Gary's knowledge of Tucumcari and Route 66 is astonishing! Tucumcari Trading Post takes you back in time, with all his signs, gasoline memorabilia, and others items, too numerous to mention. Gary is a person that you can sit down with and talk with for hours. A true down to earth person, with his side kick Misty(his 4 legged friend), at... More

We came upon this amazing place on our trip out west. We love exploring flea markets and antique stores and this one has excellent displays and collections. Gary was very friendly and hospitable and when we are back in the area, it will be a definite stop for us.

We were driving through Tucumcari, Route 66 and drove past Tucumcari Trading Post, we noticed the collecting of car plates and decided to explore. Although closed at the time (Sunday Labour Day Weekend) we were warmly greeted by Gary the owner. He opened the shop and made us feel very welcome. As he opened the door to his store we... More

We were fortunate to happen upon this great spot and we were greeted most hospitably by proud proprietor Mr. Gary Cardwell, He welcomed my four children to experience everything in the store. It is chuck-full of memorabilia that anyone searching for that real Americana feeling can find on Rt. 66. We took a ton of photos. Mr. Cardwell kept adding... More
