There's a lot going on at the KTAOS Solar Center. It's a radio station. It's a bar and restaurant. It's a live music venue, featuring bands from around the world. The view of the mountains is fantastic. (I understand why one of the commercials for the bar uses the line "come and drink in the view." Very clever.) In the... More

One of the best music venues in Taos, with the best view, too! And the food is very good, as well, especially for bar food. Great for all ages.

We live only a mile away, so this bar/music venue is place we visit frequently. Just a couple of things to note: the music rarely starts earlier than a half hour late. It must be something about the elevation! If the act is doing a sound check at the time they were supposed to start, the music will start 30-45... More

the solar center is a great building, with one of the best views around of the mountains. the atmosphere is chill, and the outdoor area is fantastic! the music venue is great for dancing, lots of room and a decent wooden dance floor. if only there were some good music there other than bad pop music and white boy reggae.... This space is wonderful for a beer with a beautiful view and great sandwiches. The Taos BRAWL (women's arm wrestling for charity) occurred while we were there. Go Whiplashes! Enjoy a little of the local culture for a good cause.

We just stopped in for a quick drink. The bar staff was nice, but not overly friendly. Some interesting live music was going on and a concert was scheduled to start later. A location unlike any other! Watching the live broadcast through the soundproof glass box was a unique experience!

Enjoyed a few brews and some onion rings as we watched the full moon rise over the Sangre de Cristos. A guitarist played as we sat by the fireplace, chillin' like villains . . .
