This was our first time snowshoeing and we loved it! Stuart is a very knowledgeable guide...we learned so much about the area on our trip. The scenery was beautiful and Stuart prepared a great lunch along the way. Would definitely do it again!

My 7-year old son and I had not planned on going snowshoeing, but when we saw the brochure on a hotel stand, we thought it looked like a great adventure. And that it was... Stuart made the trip very special for us. His passion for guiding shone through as he casually shared his knowledge of the area, the trees and... More

First time snowshoeing and had a great time. Stewart was awesome. He is very conscientious of everyone on the trip, paying close attention to how everyone feels. Stewart made us hot chocolate half way up the hike, then chili at the top. Just do it, you'll love it.

Stuart was very knowledgeable and experienced as a guide. Although I had worn snowshoes in the past, he worked to improve my skills during an enjoyable excursion tailored to my capabilities. His knowledge of the area, flora and fauna made the time interesting and informative.

We had an awesome snowshoeing adventure with this guy! He was amazing. Not only did he take us on an amazing hike he also made us a break lunch and had snacks! I loved that he knew so much about the area and he was educating us around every corner over the different trees and nature it was just an... More

I very rarely review holiday experiences online (yes, I am a flawed citizen of the Internet) but it says something that I feel compelled to write a review of this hike. We were met by our guide Stuart at the trailhead (cellphone coverage is patchy so be sure you doublecheck ahead of time with the company where you should meet... More

Our snowshoeing adventure was amazing. Being out in the forest covered in snow is truly incredible, combine that with our gifted guide Stuart, and you have an unforgettable experience. They know what they are doing. You'll want to go again the next day. Age, ability, interest level, doesn't matter, Stuart has a way of introducing the great outdoors which is... More

If you go to Taos or Angel Fire, put Taos Snowshoe Adventures on your definate list of things to do. Our children were reluctant to go (as usual), but once on the trail they were very interested and one ended up leading the hike. My Wife and I were in the back as we are around 50 yo, don't exercise... More

I highly recommend doing a tour with Taos Snowshoe Adventures! As many of the reviewers mentioned, Stuart is a wonderful tour leader who does a great job of pacing the activity based on the group and sharing interesting information about the forest, mountains, animals and history of the area. The atmosphere he creates is very welcoming. I joined a 1/2... More

Snowshoeing with Stuart and our group of all-levels of snowshoers was great fun and was surprisingly informative. What kind of tree is that? You think it's a pine. Nope. Stuart let us know it was a spruce, and then he told us how you can tell the difference. All the while we were snowshoeing through the fresh, deep snow in... More
