This was a great wintertime activity - a good opportunity to enjoy the mountain scenery while taking a day out from skiing. I was traveling solo on this particular trip, but this would also be a great family activity. Stuart was an awesome guide - super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, and history of the area. The... More

We had an INCREDIBLE experience with Stuart. My husband sought out a means to go snowshoeing for our anniversary (something I've been pining to do for four years) and came across Taos Snowshoe Adventures. Being first-timers, we were stoked that the equipment was provided and that we'd have a guide ready to show us proper technique and all that jazz.... More

My daughter and I had a wonderful full-day snowshoe tour with Stewart on 12/23/14. Stewart was incredibly friendly and helpful, and he provided significant information throughout the tour regarding wilderness safety, the history of the region, and the flora and fauna of the area. The scenery was breathtaking, and Stewart ensured the pace of our tour was appropriate. He provided... More

This was a first time snowshoe tour for us and we are huge fans already. Stuart is a very knowledgeable guide and takes great care to make it a fun excursion for every skill level. My 9 year old boy had. a blast hiking and playing around in all that pure powder in the wilderness. We did the half day... More

I highly recommend this company. Five of us, all local to Taos, did a half day snowshoe adventure, in pristine powder in a beautiful forest, with no human tracks to be seen before our own - we had the forest to ourselves on the Saturday before Christmas while the local ski resorts were packed with tourists! Hot beverages, and later,... More

Taos Snowshoe Adventures "Explorer Tour" is the greatest. Our group were all novices and all got along fine with the provided equipment. Stuart, our guide, really made the trek a success. An expert outdoorsman with a vast knowledge of the forest, easy going, great sense of humor, and his chili and camp-stove quesadillas were a real hit. Now we're shopping... More

This was our first time snowshoeing and we loved it! Stuart is a very knowledgeable guide...we learned so much about the area on our trip. The scenery was beautiful and Stuart prepared a great lunch along the way. Would definitely do it again!

My 7-year old son and I had not planned on going snowshoeing, but when we saw the brochure on a hotel stand, we thought it looked like a great adventure. And that it was... Stuart made the trip very special for us. His passion for guiding shone through as he casually shared his knowledge of the area, the trees and... More

First time snowshoeing and had a great time. Stewart was awesome. He is very conscientious of everyone on the trip, paying close attention to how everyone feels. Stewart made us hot chocolate half way up the hike, then chili at the top. Just do it, you'll love it.

Stuart was very knowledgeable and experienced as a guide. Although I had worn snowshoes in the past, he worked to improve my skills during an enjoyable excursion tailored to my capabilities. His knowledge of the area, flora and fauna made the time interesting and informative.
