Description: Los Rios River Runners is New Mexico's oldest, largest, and most...
Los Rios River Runners is New Mexico's oldest, largest, and most experienced rafting company. We've been rafting through the spectacular river canyons of northern New Mexico since 1972. We offer trips from mild to wild, from half-day to 3-days, from the world-class white-knuckle whitewater of the Taos Box (available as a full-day adventure or as part of a multi-day overnight) to family fun adventures and serene floats. Spend starry nights in the serene Chama wilderness, or float along a mellow section of the Rio Grande with a Native Pueblo guide and a traditional feast meal awaiting you at the takeout. Sunset dinner floats too! And check out our multi-sport adventures: rock and raft, pedal and paddle, and paddle and saddle. Los Rios has more access to more stretches of river than any other NM rafting company, and offers the broadest variety of trips. Come boating with us, and take home lifetime memories.

We loved our sunset float with Los Rios River Runners, top notch guide Miguel. Sonny our chef and Josh. Four New Englanders riding down the Rio Grande in grand style. Only one level 2 rapids on the sunset float, it was perfect for these old goats.

We did the day trip with Oz (Nathan Oswald) and had the best time! Not only was it a great first time rafting for us, but Oz was so knowledgeable on the history of the river, the culture of the area and even fantastic suggestions for sight-seeing after the trip. The day flew by and it was worth every penny!... More

We did the full day, lower gorge rafting trip and just had a great day. We are not experienced rafters, but under Brian's expert guidance, we had an absolutely wonderful trip. It starts off slow and we got a chance to get to know our guide, Brian. He was part historian, geologist, horticulturalist and naturalist. He was knowledgeable about so... More

I was not a water person but the trip was awesome! My husband and I was there at the end of July. The half day rafting was perfect for the first timer like me. Our guide, Eric was great. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the gorge, river and the whole rafting experience. The view thru the whole... More

We did an all day trip with the Orilla Verde float and the Racecourse as a family with a 6 year old and an 8 year old. We all loved it. Tons of fun, a great interactive guide who was awesome with the kids. I cannot say enough good things about this company and our guide. They were very good... More

This trip was amazing. I took my 11-year-old son a few days ago and we had a blast. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We always felt safe and had a great time. They even provided a tasty lunch in the middle of the excursion.

We took the half day trip which was perfect for us. Our guide, John, was great. He was very knowledgeable about the river, local geology, local history, etc. He made the trip extra special. We would definitely recommend this group - and we hope to do another trip sometime with them!

Party of 4. Wanted to do the race course, river conditions permitting with a child. Because of the child (my grandson) Suzie took us under her wing so to speak. Great trip. Exciting, challenging rapids, yet safe enough for the grandson thanks to Suzie. She is a pro and great with kids.

Very fun, cool and wet. A party of eleven of us had reservations for a rafting trip with Los Rios. The guides are great. They explain the geology of the river/gorge as we float down. We felt very safe on the rafts. A couple of us fell into the water, but they scooped us up right away. Only lost one... More
