We've been rafting through the spectacular river canyons of northern New Mexico since 1972. We offer trips from mild to wild, from half-day to 3-days, from the world-class white-knuckle whitewater of the Taos Box (available as a full-day adventure or as part of a multi-day overnight) to family fun adventures and serene floats. Spend starry nights in the serene Chama wilderness, or float along a mellow section of the Rio Grande with a Native Pueblo guide and a traditional feast meal awaiting you at the takeout. Sunset dinner floats too! And check out our multi-sport adventures: rock and raft, pedal and paddle, and paddle and saddle. Los Rios has more access to more stretches of river than any other NM rafting company, and offers the broadest variety of trips. Come boating with us, and take home lifetime memories. « less

Yesterday we completed the racecourse with another couple and Brian of Los Rios River Runners, and although the river was a bit down for this time of the year it in no way diminished the experience or the time we had. Brian, whose personality, enthusiasm, competence and knowledge made the trip exceptional for those fortunate to share it with him.... More

Thank you Joshua and Jim, we had such a great time on our dinner float on the Rio Grande in Taos. First of all, the river was calm, the scenery was beautiful and the conversation great. We floated and talked and it was magical. As we approached the end of the float we saw a fire burning on the riverbank.... More

We took the Orilla Verde half-day float trip, and thoroughly enjoyed it! The river is lovely and cool (we took the morning trip). Our oarsman extraordinaire, Bruce, was fun to be with and super experienced, so we could just relax and enjoy the scenery as he told us about the geology, flora and fauna, and local history of the river.... Los Rios River Runners were a pleasure from start to finish. The young lady who made our reservations was very helpful. The bus driver, the tour guides as well as the guide in our boat were all friendly and professional. It was a safe & fun trip! I'll be back when the water is higher.

We booked this trip as a side adventure and break from the car as we were moving from Indiana to San Diego and driving across the country. After five years in the midwest corn fields I wanted to spend some time in the mountains and this was the perfect trip! We did the 2 day Chama trip and it was... More

Recently had out of state company that wanted to ride the river! They chose the company because the name sounded "New Mexicanish". What a pleasant surprise, EVERYONE associated with this business is professional and extremely knowledgable of the area. The rafting included a very thorough lesson in geology, flora and fauna and NM history. Cannot say enough about this company.... More

Have been using lrrr for a number of years and find them to be fun, competent and always assure ahold and safe time on the rio grande. This time we were 9 people, one somewhat handicapped, and yet we all managed to equally enjoy the raft and funyak rides. The lunch is also good with a make your own sandwich... More

Our family of four (two pre-teen boys) had a great time on the Racecourse trip with our terrific guide, Baby Bruce. Our guide was an excellent and patient teacher, with a sense of humor when we messed up. The river was rather low so we had to dodge lots of rocks, and Bruce inspired teamwork. The river was exciting and... More

We enjoyed our half day Racecourse trip with Jamie. The water level was low and speed was slow, so the rapids weren't great. But the company was first rate - very safety oriented with great guides. Based on the other companies we saw on the river, Los Rios is one of the largest outfits. Would certainly go with these guys... More
