Los Rios River Runners is New Mexico's oldest, largest, and most...

Los Rios River Runners is New Mexico's oldest, largest, and most experienced rafting company. We've been rafting through the spectacular river canyons of northern New Mexico since 1972. We offer trips from mild to wild, from half-day to 3-days, from the world-class white-knuckle whitewater of the Taos Box (available as a full-day adventure or as part of a multi-day overnight) to family fun adventures and serene floats. Spend starry nights in the serene Chama wilderness, or float along a mellow section of the Rio Grande with a Native Pueblo guide and a traditional feast meal awaiting you at the takeout. Sunset dinner floats too! And check out our multi-sport adventures: rock and raft, pedal and paddle, and paddle and saddle. Los Rios has more access to more stretches of river than any other NM rafting company, and offers the broadest variety of trips. Come boating with us, and take home lifetime memories.

My husband and I signed up for the Sunset Dinner Float thinking it would be a neat experience and we were right. It was a laid back hour and a half float down the Rio Grande with not only experienced guides but all had great sense of humors. We saw Rocky Mountain big horn sheep, otters, beavers, mule deer, ducks,... More

Do you have young kids or just want a leisurely trip on the Rio Grande with tour guide giving you great facts about the river? Then take a tour with this group! Really nice tour guides and they even provided a snack after our trip. We were on the Rio for about 2 hours (water wasn't moving that fast.) They... More

Brian was our guide for our 1/2 day and he could not have been nicer as he took the 3 of us on the Race Course level 3. We had a blast. He was so organized, had rain gear to keep us dry, and even feed us when we finished (he politely admitted that the food was a distraction so... More

Had a great half day afternoon rafting trip down Rio Grande in Taos. Our guide, Bradley, was skilled and knowledgeable. We pretty much had the river to ourselves and Los Rios River Runners was willing to take just me and my husband out. Bradley had snacks for us at the end. Highly recommend!!!

As a group of 5 women celebrating a bachelorette weekend, we couldn't have had a better time! The trip was fun, interesting, and expertly guided. John was the guide in our boat and he read his "audience" perfectly. He shared ecological, geological, and historical information (which was very interesting to this group) and also gave us time to chat and... More

Los Rios River Runners operates past Labor Day, which allowed us to book a trip down the Rio Grande in mid-Sept. What a trip! We went down a "calm" part of the river in inflatable kayaks (aka "fun-yaks"). They were a blast & much more maneuverable than we expected. During our trip downstream we saw a large herd of wild... We took the relaxing sunset float trip. We really wanted to do one of the exciting wild rafting, but you need to do those in the spring when the water is high. This was late summer Labor day, so the water is low, so we took the relaxing sunset float. you dont have to paddle on this, the guide does,... More

In short, we had a spectacular time! This was my wife's first time white water rafting and I haven't done it in over 25 years. We did the half day Racecourse, which was the perfect introduction for someone who wasn't quite sure whether she wanted to do it. The team at Los Rios gave a great introductory briefing and our... Our guide, Brian, was great! Nobody got hurt which is good for rafting the "Box" in Taos' Rio Grande River. This run got up to a 4+. Even on the "smoother part of the run, we saw wonderful wildlife. I will definitely sign up next year.

Thank Michael M
