Riding the soft desert winds is the perfect way to celebrate your special occasions with friends, family or when there is romance in the air. And, there is no better place to enjoy it than around Taos. We fly the scenic Rio Grande Gorge as it cuts through the high desert mesa like a 650 ft. deep Grand Canyon. The famous Rio Grande River gently flows through it. As we're gently gliding and enjoying the beautiful panoramas we drop down into the Gorge and kiss the river for the most thrilling balloon ride anywhere. We see baby coyotes, deer, mountain goats and elk in the Spring, blossoming flowers, bushes and cacti in Summer, the colorful changing Fall foliage and the beautiful snow covered Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the Winter - there is always majestic beauty everywhere! Join us for your adventure of a lifetime today!

Bucket list, a little scared of heights, Taos Rio Grand river gorge. Priceless! Cool, crisp morning air, subtle breeze on the Mesa top overlooking the gorge. Floating away over the canyon edge, watching the river turn to rapids just after sunrise. Bliss. Pilot put everyone at ease. 5 stars!

My wife has always been fascinated with hot air balloons. As part of a week in the Taos area, she booked a balloon flight. I was not that thrilled, but 5:30 on a Saturday morning we met the crew and rode with them to the launch site. They drive you there for two reasons, you would probably never find it,... More

Chris, our pilot was just fantastic. He picked us up in Taos and took us to the launch site. He gave a great safety lesson, listened to the weather forecast, sent up a small balloon to check the wind and how to get into and out of the balloon safely. When we were in the air, he took us down... More

We took off next to the John Dunn Bridge and the Rio grande Gorge. Wind conditions that day pushed us north. The flight was smooth. Depending on the number of people who also book on the same day, there will be between 2 to 8 people on your flight. We had a day with 8, and used a bigger balloon.... More

We lucked out on a windless day for a great ride. It was a wonderful experience. Nice and slow- not scary at all! I felt safe at all times. Make sure to get a good nights sleep the night before as it is an early morning wake up call and takes a few hours for set up, ride and pack... More

A very pleasant experience where safety was number one. Chris was our pilot and was a delight, he was very knowledgable. We flew into the gorge and out across the desert. Unforgettable and well worth the price.

Chris our pilot was so awesome. There were four of us onboard and the weather conditions were great. He took us down into the gorge which was just breathless. Thank you to Ozzie our chaser!

Thank you Chris for such a wonderful, beautiful and peaceful balloon ride. It was much more than I expected and even though I thought I would be afraid I never was. My daughter and I try to experience an over the top experience on every trip and this definitely met that goal. I think the fact that you were very... More
