The racing was fun to watch. The lunch inside the casino featured the absolute worst barbque sandwich I have ever eaten.

It was our first time at any horse race and we got help from a number of people who were very friendly and helpful! After cashing out at the casino for a whopping $8.43, the banker humorously asked, "Do you need an escort?". haha!
nothing better for us then sitting at a counter seat (we like them better then box!) and smelling the fresh pines and cool breezes while betting on horses. Love it.
visited the casino, horses not racing yet. Played the slots for a while. Pretty location! Should stop by if you are passing thru.
Love the Downs for a day of racing! Nice facilities, friendly staff, great food! Summertime in Ruidoso mountains is cool, perfect weather. Some weekends are extremely busy. Check online or call ahead for schedules. Let's go to the races!

We like the races. The employees at the tract are very customer friendly and will help you whether trying to decide where to sit, what to eat, or how to "vote" on the horses. A relaxing day in the summer to watch beautiful animals race!

Their slot machines must be amongst the very tightest in the nation, and my...

It was after Labor Day so the horses weren't running but we did look around the racetrack area. It appears to be the same set-up as when constructed. Nothing appeared updated....
