Highlight of our Ruidoso trip! Took the free tour on a Thursday morning (donations graciously accepted) and it was just amazing. Went for the Chihuly Glass and ended up thoroughly enjoying the tour. Love the walls where past performers signed notes to staff etc. Great staff!

Yes Chubby maybe getting older but still can put on a great show. We have attended many events at Spencer and most of them have been great.

With all the sophistication and excitement of Broadway, nestled in the bucolic setting of Ruidoso, this theater is a must see for anyone interested in quality entertainment. I've had the pleasure of seeing several performances at Spencer and have always been struck by the excellent seats (no matter where you are sitting, you have a great view), the diverse and... More

Have visted the Spencer Theater several times and it is really awesome. The Theater itself is a quite a sight coming out of Ruidoso and this work of art appears. The managment of the Theater do a great job pulling in multiple types of talent whose reach steps across generations. Our expierences here have been outstanding and at this welcoming... More

We attended a jazz performance and was impressed by the fantastic acoustics and great seating. There are no bad seats in the theater. The staff and patrons were friendly and there was room to dance in front of the stage. The performers encouraged everyone to enjoy themselves and dance to their music. The performance was preceded by a New Orleans... More

I did not see a show here, but toured the facility. It's out in the middle of nowhere, but is worth the drive. They offer tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00. It's a beautiful theater, and the tour takes you on stage, backstage, into the dressing rooms, through the kitchen, etc., and it's free. The tour takes a bit... More

This state-of-the-art performance center is world class! From the minute you enter this architecturally beautiful building, you feel an air of excitement. The entire crew welcomes you into a magical space even before you enter the theater. Every performance I have seen here is fabulous....Broadway touring musicals, Van Cliburn gold medalists, ballet, tribute bands, etc. It's a don't miss experience!

A wonderful place to visit. They always have different things going on, for every taste. I saw the tribute for the Bee Gee's, that was great! Also the tribute for the Eagles, they were fantastic.

I first went to the Spencer Theater on a school field trip and had so much fun I went back for a another performance with my 23yr. old son. The staff is always so helpful and nice and the service just fantastic. The seating is at enough of an angle unless a huge person and wild hairdo sits in front... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour (on 2 Apr 2015) of this unique theater in Alto, a beautiful community north of Ruidoso. Our guide was outstanding. We learned about Mrs. Spencer's love for theater and her unyielding pursuit to build a facility that is expertly placed in its natural surroundings and is expertly constructed and furnished to provide...
