Not bad for a free zoo. Would not be worth it if they charged any money. Not very many animals to look at.

It's free for everyone to walk through. My kids like to go and look at the animals. It's made a nice place for my daughter's photography class also. We love being able to see the animals there. It doesn't take long to go through. And there's a carousel and train you can ride for a small fee at the end.

It was a nice place with nice animals to see. It is free and my son liked it a lot. They also have a playground for the kids and a lake with a lot of ducks that my son fed.

The park and zoo are beloved in Roswell. The zoo maintains a free admission policy. Animals from all over the world (and especially from the region) are very much at home. Add in the knowledgeable and excellent staff and you have a great experience. In the summer, the historic carousel and miniature train transport me back to my childhood. There... More

This was a nice free park/zoo. When you go there, you might at first think it think the animals are not well taken care of. The exhibits are a bit dated but it doesn't stink and the animals are well fed. Their coats look great. Being a city ran zoo, a free zoo at that, and there is minimal smell,... More

The zoo is not terribly attractive, old style animal enclosures, but is surprisingly nice. They have a wide variety of animals on display including 2 beautiful Bald Eagles. Visited early afternoon on weekday and the park was almost deserted. Best part is that it is FREE. Pleasant way to spend a lunch hour.

For a free zoo they should at least take better care of these poor creatures... some of these animals had very small habitats when others had larger ones... the zoo should get better funding...

It is a neat little place to take the family. Sure, it's not a big city zoo but, for Roswell, it's a pretty place to visit and take the kids for a few hours. Grab some Subway and have a picnic. And it's FREE!

We wanted to fill some time so decided to pay the zoo a visit. Very sad..tiny cages with concrete floors, the animals look bored to death. Wouldn't be surprised if they shut the doors soon.

This free zoo was awesome! We stopped here on our way from Lubbock Texas to Ruidoso, New Mexico. It was a perfect place to let our children run around and to have a relaxing short walk. It only took about 30 minutes to go through the zoo. The playground area was perfect. There are peacocks and prairie dogs everywhere! My... More
