This zoo in Roswell is a joke. Filthy decrepit and run down. However the saddest part of all was the state of the bear enclosure. One small piece of wood and some dirty green brown water. The poor long suffering bears walk backwards and forwards over the same 20 square foot area over and over again. They are suffering and... More

I don't know how other reviewers could give this zoo a 5 rating. While it is free, attached to a nice park and duck pond, the zoo itself is so miserably maintained that I felt sorry for the animals. The only employees we saw were the ones at the lone snack bar and the two men trying to fix the... More

I have been to zoos all over the country. I have never been to one that left me feeling like suing a town. The dump is run by the city of Roswell and you can tell it has been left to deteriorate for years. While i would not claim animal mistreatment, I would claim animal neglect. The only animals that... A free zoo and a beautiful park, all in one. It is quite a suprise to find a place like this and for free. They have a variety of southwestern animals. You can watch the ground hogs running and playing, bald eagles and Buffaloes are a few of the exhibits. They have a good sized playground and a fishing pond... More

This is a very nice little zoo and gives you a place to stroll among animals and free range peacocks. There is a carousel and train for children, as well as picnic areas and playground equipment. Lots of shady places!

This is a gorgeous tree lined park with the famous Nancy Lopez Golf course (best value in golf in all of new mexico). The park has lots of sports pavilions thru out the park. It has a top rated Disc golf course and the best horseshoe pits in the state. Waterfalls, waterways, it has it all. the City parks 7... More

This is a small zoo but it is very well kept and is Free. It's a nice walk and the animals are taken care of well. There is a train ride and carousel for only $.25 cents each. The kids love it! I went to this zoo regularly as a child and my kids love to go as well.

This is not the San Diego zoo, granted. But you can't beat free and the park is well taken care of, as are the animals. I used to go there to feed the ducks and geese and of course to ride the train and carousel. Its a great place to make memories. And a tad bit of trivia, it used... More

I am so disappointed I think this place should be closed for good and for the sake of the animals because they don't even have a cage big enough for them and they don't even have clean water.
