Another great attraction in way out there Roswell! It's another "escondida"; so many interesting sights here, and this is typical.

Thank you so much to the Roswell Museum, this place is fascinating with lots of information about the UFO incident, set aside lots of time to read it all as it opens your mind to what really happened here. I recently went to the museum as part of my book tour across the USA for my novel called The Forgotten... More

We went to Roswell expecting to see Area 57, I guess. We were mistaken. They do have a great exhibit on the events of the spaceship landing, who did what and how it was covered up, etc. They also have some cool looking models of he aliens as reconstructed from descriptions of eyewitnesses and photographs of UFO sightings. Also, lots... More

We took our 9, 7, 3 & 1 year olds. They found some of the exhibits interesting, mainly the weapons, history etc. They were not taken at all with any of the artwork except the last painting as you leave, a large three (or more) panel depicting a Pow Wow. This was a quick interesting trip. The Planetarium was just... More

The people of New Mexico do not know the amazing art that is in this museum. It's really one of the best museums in the state. The sheer number of artworks here is staggering -- and the variety of artists represented... You could easily spend 3 hours here and not really see it all. This is a gem -- hidden... More

The art here cant hold a candle to the Anderson museum of Contemporary art in my view, but it makes up for it with the historical artifacts from the local area including Indian and Rocket items. This is a very short walk (same carpark) as the visitors center and its free too.

On the list of places to visit while in Roswell. Interesting to see Goddard's work shop reconstructed within the museum. Various art displays. No charge to tour, donations only.

Going to Roswell and not going to the UFO museum is kind of like going to Paris and not seeing the Eifel Tower. Ok... Perhaps not, but you get the idea. The museum is filled with photos, articles, displays and even a few aliens. There is also a sizable UFO library.
