Just plain fun. No matter what your thoughts are on the myths surrounding the area, everything is laid out and there is plenty to go over. You can be outta there in 20 mins or spend the whole day reading everything. Either way it is worth it!!

A bit kitschy but don't overlook the library--they do have scientific cred and a lot of research material. Displays are very good on the local event, a little thin on other topics like general phenomena. The gift shop is the usual over-priced souvenirs, and carries a few book--they used to have more, but it seems the stock is down this... More

It was ok. Read some info that I wasn't aware of. There is a lot to read. Thought the Mayan Relief was neat! The models of the aliens were interesting. Wonder if we will ever really find out the truth. Do believe it was more than a weather balloon.

I thought there was going to be a lot more displays. This really isn't good for children. You have to read everything along the walls, and some of it is very tiny print. It was pretty crowded when we went so it was hard to read everything when there was a crowd of people. The gift shop was great! It... More

Go do this! The people were friendly it was fun, doesn't take too long but really interesting! Lots of opportunity to take pictures and they are great about giving you a sticker and letting you return all day.

We got there about 45 minutes before closing. We knew that, but the (not so sweet) employee, really wanted us to know that. We were going to go through the museum fast, but she was so ugly about it, we just decided to go to the gift shop. Again, (the same not so nice employee) wanted us to know that... More

On our drive from Ruidoso to Carlsbad in early April (2 Apr 2015), we stopped in downtown Roswell to visit this unique site. This attraction is housed in a converted movie theater, which has been nicely repurposed into a museum offering well-displayed data about the infamous 1947 UFO encounter in Roswell and about other other-worldly sightings and events. The newspaper... More

Was interesting and fun. Like the previous reviews, lots of reading so little ones may not like it very long. We enjoyed it, they had a few alien displays, lots of photos and some artwork. Was allowed to take photos everywhere except the gift shop. There was a video room, but we didn't watch it.

The museum has some cheesy stuff, but there's also some interesting information too. My friends and I had a good laugh taking pictures of ourselves with the aliens and UFOs. We really liked the library; there's a good selection of DVDs (all to do with aliens of course) so we took over the private viewing room and watched the X-Files... More

You can't visit Roswell, New Mexico without stopping to see the International UFO Museum and Research Center. As a history buff, I thoroughly enjoyed all the newspaper articles from the 1940's, covering the "alleged" crash of the famous Roswell flying saucer. Tons of photographs, along with detailed biographies of those involved in the incident, as well as its cover-up, provide... More
