If you are traveling through Roswell with kids, you'll want to do something with aliens. This is a good stop to make. I suppose if you were really into alien sightings, you could spend a long time reading all the documents they display, but if you are mostly looking, you could easily be in and out in 20 minutes -... We had some time to blow before driving to Ruidoso, so we stopped into the museum. It was really interesting to read everything! There was tons of actual reports, pictures, etc. If youre interested in UFO sitings/aliens, this was pretty neat! And the gift shop at the end had tons of stuff at great prices.

It's a bit hokey and not a well-designed museum, but it was pretty neat and extremely kitschy (like most of the rest of the town). Some cool art, some neat historical artifacts, and (of course) some excellent alien figures!!

Always ask for a military discount if you are active duty! The information that they supply you w/ is A LOT. You could easily spend all day here if you had the time just reading up on all they had to offer and you may not even get through it all then! They have some aliens on display as well.

Part of the experience of a road trip is the stops. I wanted to go to the cadilac ranch on our way to the grand canyon. My son was in charge of map duty. While in lubbock for the night, he started talking about roswell and a piece he saw on tv. He asked if we could go. This was... More

Lots of good documents that seems to prove that there was a UFO crash and cover up in 1947 near Corona (not Roswell). They have added lots of other stuff to make it more kid friendly because it really is a lot of reading. There is now a movie, a radio report, and some props.

Really neat place. We have to go back cause there is just too much to absorb in one visit hahahaha A must do whenever you are in the area.

Dated displays. The hysteria that abounded in 1947 is intriguing for adults but kids aren't really interested. Kids are looking for real aliens. The entrance fee is spendy for what you get dispite the claim that you can get back in because once you've seen it you've seen all you want to see!

We happened to be visiting during the UFO Festival July 4-6. It was busier than usual downtown. The museum was crowded with authors and experts on "aliens". The museum had lots of interesting information for those who like the idea of a cover-up. I would love to go back when it isn't as crowded so that I could spend more... More

Really enjoyed the documentation of UFO sightings, including newspaper articles and individual affidavits. However, the portrayal of the aliens and spaceship was really hokey --- it needed a professional touch.
