We love Red River Ski Area. Very well maintained both inside and out. Our kids are small and they have a great beginner area which is out of the way of other skiers. We have been skiing here for three years and will continue to visit. We hope to get up there in the summer and enjoy some of their... More

This is the third time our family has gathered at Red River for a family reunion/outdoor adventure. Red River is just big enough to offer variety of challenge for all level of skiers, but is small enough that we kept running into each other all over the mountain. Red River does a nice job of snow making and grooming to... More

Mostly for beginners and intermediates, could not ski blacks d/t low snow conditions Dec/Jan. Overall cold temperatures - need hand warmers. Be careful leaving Green Chair as it can slap you if you are not fast, and chairs do not slow down Copper chair is the fastest and least crowded chair lift up. No leg support on either lifts causes... More

A few weeks ago, I was looking forward to writing about all the wonderful experiences we had in Red River; however, I left the place glad that I had visited, but even happier to be headed home. I've skied in Colorado only, so part of my excitement was skiing in a new state. I will admit—I was sick for part... More

Once again we had a great trip to Red River. Lots of new snow and the slopes were great. We did experience a few issues this year. Lets first talk about the positives. The guys working the lifts were great. They always had a smile and greeted us throughout the day. Even the guys at the top and mid way... More

43 of the 57 trails were open. The skiing was great and I can't say enough good things about the ski and snowboard instructors. The town is quaint with plenty of places to eat and shop!

Amazing place for families and beginners. The staff was super helpful and kind all the way around! It was our first time skiing and we never had any issues or confusion while setting up lessons, buying lift tickets, reserving tubes or equipment. Christmas music was playing around the main areas and Santa even made an appearance on Christmas Day. We... More

We went early in the season, so there wasn't many trails open. The ones open were well groomed and good skiing. The tubing in the early eve was fun too.
