My mid-March trip to Red River Ski Area was my first ever ski trip, so I can't compare Red River with any other ski resorts. I can grade it based on my experiences, though. First, I was very pleased with the pre-trip planning resources on the ski area's website. The details of the various packages and service were spelled out... More

Our first time to ski Red River and we had a great time! Total of 4 adults and 2 kids ages 5 & 6. The kids went to ski school every day and loved it. It's a cute rustic town. Everything was old but quaint. The price of the lifts were about $60 a day, a little less for a... More

Really enjoyed this! We are in our 40's and had a blast flying down the hill with people of all ages. Everyone was having a great time! Price was very reasonable ($15) for the night session and they supply the tubes - they come with a slick case with rope attached :). Can't wait to take the kids next time... More

We just returned from our 4th trip to Red River Ski Area. My kids learned to ski here and it has become one of our regular vacation spots. Simply put, it is a perfect ski area for families and kids. There are long flowing blue runs and plenty of greens for the beginners. We always stay on the Copper Lift... More

This was our first trip to Red River ski area, and we really enjoyed it. This was our first ski trip with our two year old son and it was the perfect location for us to start him skiing. My husband and I were a little bored with the runs since a lot of the blacks were closed due to... More

This was our first New Mexico ski trip and we were pleasantly surprised! The charming town of Red River and ski area are combined which was much easier than most other ski resorts that you have to drive to or take shuttles to get around. Every service you need is conveniently located in one building, and the hosts and instructors... More

This was our first time attempting to snow ski for the entire family and it was an excellent experience. All of the employees at the ski rental/guest area (i.e. Scott, Kevin, Lorenzo, and many others) are just wonderful and very helpful. We did have a bit of a snafu with our ski instructor but I believe that was a fluke... More

Loved this ski area. I was needing my kids to learn to ski and to see if they even liked skiing. This place was great. They have excellent teachers for beginners and some really great trails as well. I have skied Colorado and Utah before, this was my first time to New Mexico. We WILL be going back to Red... More

If you are traveling with a large group like I was(27 people) doing Group tickets is the best for saving. You only need a group of 20 but, Wesley was very helpful to our group the 2 to 3 days that we skied. Thank you so much Wesley from the Partridge Group from Austin, TX

What a great place! I was there a few weeks ago and loved it From the moment you get there everything is easy. We walked to the slopes from our hotel proceeded to rent some gear and signed up for a lesson all in 20 min! The ski instructors were experienced, patient and willing to help. No lines for the...
