This place is awesome! It was out first time show shoeing and what a great experience. The trails are nicely groomed, and the place is so quiet and peaceful. Be warned, it's a workout to be hiking uphill in snowshoes but what a blast. Even our youngest did great and enjoyed it. More

Each winter we make a trip from Alamosa to the Enchanted Forest to XC ski. The trails are always well groomed and clearly marked, and this year the snow was exceptional. The original owners have passed the business on to the daughter and son-in-law who are equally passionate about the sport. All the staff there is always friendly and eager... More

I came here to snowshoe and was pleasantly surprised. Trails were well-marked and somewhat varied. You can spend whatever length of time during a day. There was plenty of snow when I went and I even had the good fortune to find a trail that had not been used lately. I will definately return. More

We've visited this area a number of times over the years. The people are experts and thoroughly geared to cross-country skiing and now snowshoeing. Very good equipment for rentals. Funky, basic building for a lodge and center. Instructors are enthusiastic and competent. The new owners, daughter and son-in-law of the original owners, have added a yurt for rental and special... This was the first time we tried cross country skiing so we took the lesson--it was worth it. It is pretty easy to pick up the basics, but the instruction made a huge difference in our success on the trails. More

There are only a couple of locations to choose from in New Mexico for nordic skiing - Enchanted Forest provides a large trail network, shop, lessons, a little area to hang out in while warming up or eating, and anything else you need. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable - I took a lesson one year and the instructor actually remembered... More

Enchanted Forest trails are my favorite place to just get out in the woods. It's safe; trails are well marked, and the prettiest view of Wheeler Peak. More
