My review is for the springs only, not the parent hotel that hosts it. The Good: The setting is terrific, nice rustic ambience. The different mineral pools is a great concept and helps keep your attention. The Bad: I made the asumption that this spa would be a place of tranquility, especially when I read about the 'Whisper Only' policy.... More

I had heard great things from friends about ojo and was excited to experience the waters and get a little pampering for my birthday, but I was a bit apprehensive about the costs. I decided to go for it, booking a private tub and spa services for myself and my boyfriend, and received a day that was worth every penny.... More

The facility is wonderful except for the whisper policy. Who goes to a spa to whisper or not talk at all which is what they'd really like? The massage was horrible. By far the worst I've ever had. More

I went to Ojo Caliente with three friends that I don't get to see very often. I read online that there are 'whisper only' areas (that I knew I would avoid); but actually, the whole facility is 'whisper only' except for the locker room and restaurant. I like to talk with my friends and laugh. So, this is not a... More

Wonderful mineral springs for soaking and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and peacful and it is nestled in the quiet countryside. I was there today and it was fun to watch the birds dip in and out of the water enjoying the pools too. I love the iron pool to which is said to build up your blood and I... More

This review is only for the mineral pools - not the hotel itself. My wife and I stayed in Santa Fe in April 2012 and debated staying here at the hotel and resort but opted for a Bed and Breakfast in Santa Fe. The second day of our stay we decided to make the trip north to Ojo Caliente and... More

Fortunate enough to stay at the hot springs for three nights...they have various types of accommodations. We soaked every day and each got two massages. Wonderful, wonderful! There are natural springs outside under the clear, blue New Mexican skies...pools with iron, soda, arsenic and a mixture. Expensive, yes, but worth the splurge! More

I have been to Ojo Caliente many times. My most recent visit was Friday. There is no dispute that he tubs are very relaxing with a great choice of temperatures. Touches such as more chaises, hammocks and pergolas have been added. But, with every visit the price seems to increase - $30 for the day makes you determined to stay... More

We used to go to Hot Sulpher Springs, but the owners there don't care about how run-down it's getting. With that in mind we have searched several places looking for that perfect place in just the right distance from home or worth the extra commute. Well, Ojo Caliente is just such a place. We were there the weekend of April... More

Need to have more and better shower amenities in bathrooms. found there to be a lot of pomp and prep with spa services but not high skill. This is an average spa. that said, if you are into mineral pools, then the pools are nice. They have small private mineral pools heated to around 98 degrees. they feature log burning... More
