This museum is the place to visit in Las Cruces. The setup of displays depict the history and the people that developed the local area from the 1500s to current years. The artwork and functional displays are professionally done. An additional benefit is the numerous functions of various interests held there weekly. This museum is not only static displays but... Truly a gem of a museum. There are some very interesting exhibits about the area. Live animals and interactive displays.

W decided to try this museum based on the reviews in trip advisor. We liked it so much more than I expected to! It's really a big demonstration farm complete with animals. First we got a golf cart tour thru the farm. Our tour guide was very interesting and fun. We lucked out and saw a baby calf that had... More

This was our fifth visit to the Farm and Ranch Museum and it was the first time we've had a bad experience. We arrived an hour before closing time to take advantage of an early day at work. The lady at the front desk had a "what are you doing here" attitude. She then told us that the animal exhibits... More

Perhaps because it's located in the more sparsely populated southern part of New Mexico, the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum doesn't receive the foot traffic or attention it deserves. It's a beautiful facility that plays host to an ever-changing variety of exhibits offering vivid (if occasionally text-heavy) illustrations of the state's agricultural and multi-cultural history. A recent show of the... More

My visits to the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum have always been in the context of their special programs - Cowboy Days, Ghosts of the Past, and the like. These programs are an excellent means of learning about New Mexico and the surrounding area in a fun and interactive setting. The actors are outstanding, having done their research and never... The family spent the afternoon here and walked away learning a few new things. Truly enjoyed our tour guides who appeared to love their jobs. The dowsing expert was really interesting and now has us really intrigued with the activity! The museum appeared to be very clean and well run. We plan to come back again soon! SN:this is a... More
