The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum provides some good attractions, well suited for visitors to New Mexico who are unfamiliar with life in these parts. My wife and I especially enjoyed the longhorn cattle on display, which give an example of the type of beef cattle used in the Old West. The museum of local history was also quite... More

This is a great place to visit. You can spend half a day looking at all the cool stuff . Great people working there too. Take the guided tour of the outside area,it is much better than just walking around. There are lots of great things to see indoors too.

This facility gives another spin on a day at the museum. Outdoors is very interactive with farm and ranch animals. Indoors are great displays. Have been there for Cowboy Days, Gem Show and just to enjoy it in general.

If you want to sample an experience what life was like on the good old American farm this is your place. No theme park here, you can enjoy an included guided golf cart ride around the working museum/farm and see real farm animals. Young children will really love the place and so will most everyone else.

I recently took my three children (whom I homeschool, ages 10, 8, and 6) on a self-guided tour of the facilities. There's a lot of ground to cover, but we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We divided our time pretty evenly between the outdoor exhibits (farm equipment, animals, dairy exhibit) as well as the indoor exhibits. This isn't a super... More

I had about 90 minutes to kill when I drove by this museum. I did not have time to look at the livestock or outdoor exhibits, but being a Kansas girl familiar with farms, I figured that was OK to skip. Inside, I found an extremely interesting exhibit on Canada Alamosa (I can't get the n in Canada to have... More

The museum and farm are excellent. The displays are wonderfully done and the outdoor space shows a superior dedication to quality. The docents are excellent!

We very much enjoyed the history presented. The explanation of early agriculture in this region of the country was very interesting.

This Museum is both indoors and outdoors. You can wander around pens containing farm animals, see old farm equipment, and inside a great walking history of our great state. Lots of hands on for kids, so they won't be bored silly.

The The Canada Alamosa: 4000 Years of Agricultural History exhibit was superb. Could have spent the entire time in this hall. The photo exhibit, The Color of Pietown is a must for history &/or photo buffs. Leave several hours for this museum. We didn't have enough time for the huge outdoor exhibit....next time!
