Went to a wedding here. The church was lovely, the seats were comfortable and it had air conditioning, which none of us out of towners were expecting. It had an Hispanic flair which you would expect. The outside looked like the Alamo! The priest came out to the congregation to speak with us prior to the service. He was very... More

Went here for a wedding last month and was pleasantly surprised that this very old church was air conditioned. The celebrant came out prior to the wedding service to speak with the congregation asking the out of staters where they from and making small talk and getting acquainted. Very nice. The church was lovely and the pews were comfortable. Nice... More

Based on other TA reviews, I stopped here in the morning after my one night stay in Las Cruces before continuing my road trip. Even when passing through a place, I try to see something in the area - even if briefly. I arrived around 9am on a weekday and nothing in the plaza was open yet. I'd love to... More

Every time I've ever come through Mesilla, I ALWAYS go by this long established mission. This active mission, like the others [San Elizario(actually a presidio), Socorro, Ysleta, and the mother of them all, across the river in Ciudad Juarez] is the face of Old Mesilla plaza. In fact, I've stopped here not only by Doublevision, but also by motor vehicle... More

This is a gorgeous building, worth seeing while in the area. It is not of the same vintage as the other 1850s buildings surrounding Mesilla Plaza, dating instead from the early 20th century, but the adobe style is authentic and the building fits right in.

If you are catholic or not it is a good place for worship, but locals do not really want a bunch of tourists to partake which I understand because they are very serious about their faith.

How charming and moving to spend Christmas eve in Mesilla Plaza , the church is magical. Followed by a missing man tribute in the plaza and wonderful carol singing

One of the pleasures of being catholic is the ability to go to mass everywhere you go. Here is a church with its roots deep in the 19th century. It opens to the public from 1 to 3 in the afternoons to look around, but nothing beats going to mass here in this historic building.

San Albino's is a very sweet little church with a lovely yard full of roses. Overlooking the Old Mesilla Square, it has an active and devoted congregation. A nice historic place for a visiter to go to mass.

The San Albino Church is absolutely gorgeous inside. It is more than just a tourist attraction, it is an active place of worship. Mass is held in Spanish or English and the Fr. uses quite a bit of Latin as well. The sound quality is wonderful and if you get a chance to see a concert there, you won't be... More
