The battleship rock was impressive. The whole forest was fun. We didn't figure it out until after that the waterfall was on the road, so a sweaty walk was disappointing but still beautiful.

We stopped here to get out and walk around and found it very beautiful! The river flows through and makes for some beautiful photos, and the kids love all water! We decided to have our picnic here, it was all very well cared for, except for the restrooms...they were bad, really bad! But don't let that deter you, this place... More

There is a trail that goes up to the Jemez waterfall, roughly 2.5 miles long. We only went a short while up-stream. It is not a good hike with kids (which were with us), but looked like a really great hike for couples or groups or singles. Beautiful scenic hike.

The rock is aptly named and worth the hike. Suggest also a trip to Soda dam & across from that the hot springs gurgling from the hillside.

You can pull into the park to see Battleship Rock closer, although there is a fee for day use. There are two entrances that will get you to the rock. There is plenty of parking there, as well as picnic areas and trails for hiking and fishing. The outdoor grill area is sometimes crowded with families. The porta potty is... More

We visited while exploring the scenic byway and Jemez Mountains. This interesting rock may or may not remind you of a battleship but it is a local natural attraction . most tourists stop here for photos.

You can also do some hiking on a trail off the road. I'm not quite sure I see the "battleship," at least from the road, but it's a beautiful view and a lovely place to stop along the road.

Battleship rock is just up stream from the soda dam, lots of places to have picnics, trail that leads up the east fork to Jemez Falls. Tall ponderosa pines, watch out for late summer thunderstorms. try fishing in the stream
