Use your imagination

Not as easy to ascertain the image as a "battleship" as Camel Rock, but if you close your eyes ( with the image as the last thing you saw) an Battleship will appear!

On our return from the hike to the falls we stopped at battleship rock. I am sad to say that we parked on top and walked the 20 steps down to the stream (which would have probably been easier if my legs were not in pain from the hike). The stream water was cold, the pictures were lovely. I explored... More

The rocks were interesting, but I really didn't see a "battleship." It is impressive but not anything to drive too far out of your way to see.

An amazing and beautiful natural structure that captivates the viewer! It is easy to understand how this attraction received its name!

The battleship rock was impressive. The whole forest was fun. We didn't figure it out until after that the waterfall was on the road, so a sweaty walk was disappointing but still beautiful.

We stopped here to get out and walk around and found it very beautiful! The river flows through and makes for some beautiful photos, and the kids love all water! We decided to have our picnic here, it was all very well cared for, except for the restrooms...they were bad, really bad! But don't let that deter you, this place... More

There is a trail that goes up to the Jemez waterfall, roughly 2.5 miles long. We only went a short while up-stream. It is not a good hike with kids (which were with us), but looked like a really great hike for couples or groups or singles. Beautiful scenic hike.

we weren't going in the area for BR, but we did see it on the way to the springs (btw, the trail to the springs was hard to find - and they were not impressive - but the hike was great)

The rock is aptly named and worth the hike. Suggest also a trip to Soda dam & across from that the hot springs gurgling from the hillside.

You can pull into the park to see Battleship Rock closer, although there is a fee for day use. There are two entrances that will get you to the rock. There is plenty of parking there, as well as picnic areas and trails for hiking and fishing. The outdoor grill area is sometimes crowded with families. The porta potty is... More
