Description: The Giggling Springs Hot Springs is located at the site of the earliest...
The Giggling Springs Hot Springs is located at the site of the earliest Bath House in the Jemez Springs area, and before that, the mineral water was used by the Native Americans of the area. Our water comes from deep beneath the Valles Caldera (ancient volcano) up the mountain. It is ancient sea water abundant with a relaxing and therapeutic blend of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silica, sodium and more. The source is 139 degrees F, but the pool is kept at a comfortable 102-104 degrees. The water is natural, and no chlorine or chemicals are added. We use ultraviolet light, ionizers and an oxygen inversions system to disinfect the water, and it is a flow-through pool, so the water changes out regularly. Swim suits are required, children 14 and over are welcome, and, for the comfort of our guests, the number of people allowed in at one time is limited--so reservations are recommended.

Every month I visit a different mineral spring in New Mexico. Giggling Springs definitely provides the most therapeutic water. This gem of a mineral spring induces a deeper relaxation for me than any other spring in New Mexico. The fact that the spring is right along the river's edge is a bonus as I enjoy the sound of the river... More

There is nothing more disappointing than wanting to do something and not being prepared. I walked in and explained our situation and Tanya said no problem! We rented swim trunks and towels. We opted for the one hour dip. That really was about all we could take. You can bring plastic bottles in but not glass. You can also be... More

There are many places to go to hot springs in NM-I have only been to two other places. This one is my favorite so far. Why? It has a wonderful unpretentious feel to it and you get to be outdoors taking in the amazing blue sky against the deep red canyon walls. We were able to soak in the spring... More

While in Jemez Springs for 3 days, my husband and I visited Giggling Springs twice, a total treat and one that added greatly to the relaxing experience of our visit to the area. The cost is the same as the village hot springs and both are nice facilities, but some pluses for us were being able to soak together in... More

Giggling Springs Hot Springs in Jemes, NM is a lovely jewel of a spa in a small setting. We stopped in one chilly day, getting into the hot mineral spring just ahead of a light rain. It was so lovely and relaxing to be in the hot and soothing water and watch the light rain falling on the mountains around... More

We visisted Giggling Springs following a visit to Bandelier Natioanl Monument. It is a cute little hot pool in a historic old town. The owner was very friendly and the dip in the pool was very relaxing. There is a stream right next to the hot spring pool and the sounds and atmosphere are enjoyable. Jemez is a quirkly little... We soaked in this outdoor hot mineral springs pool while it was snowing. It was incredibly beautiful. We were the only two people in the pool. The hostess was fantastic. She stayed open just for us. We were able to adjust the hot springs in-flow to have the pool at whatever temperature we wanted. The scenery was fantastic. We could... More

My husband and I visited this place and we loved it! The trip there, up the Jemez Trail, was an unexpected, amazing treat! By the time we reached the place it was storming! We visited the shop and talked to the guy working there. The shop was full of cool things for sale, and the guy was really great! He... More

Dear Crystalyn, Thank you for taking the time to write a nice review. Summer storms can be tricky, but most pass within a half hour and is one of my favorite times to soak. Regarding the water temperature, there is a sign at the pool that guests can turn to ask to make the water hotter. We are sorry if... More
