Our water comes from deep beneath the Valles Caldera (ancient volcano) up the mountain. It is ancient sea water abundant with a relaxing and therapeutic blend of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silica, sodium and more. The source is 139 degrees F, but the pool is kept at a comfortable 102-104 degrees. The water is natural, and no chlorine or chemicals are added. We use ultraviolet light, ionizers and an oxygen inversions system to disinfect the water, and it is a flow-through pool, so the water changes out regularly. Swim suits are required, children 14 and over are welcome, and, for the comfort of our guests, the number of people allowed in at one time is limited--so reservations are recommended. « less

My wife and I have enjoyed many hot springs in this country and Europe. Giggling Springs in Jemez New Mexico is a beautiful location, outstanding presentation, and hospitable accommodation. The hot tub and surrounding structures are picturesque and wonderfully maintained. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the area, changing rooms, and restrooms. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Based... More

The pool is nice, large and clean. The location on the Jemez river is good. I was alone for the first 30 minutes, after that there were about 12 people in that one pool. There is no shower to rinse off after you finish, unless you pay $5 extra.

Thank you for your review. We're glad you found the pool to be "large and clean" and that you had the bonus of having it all to yourself for half an hour! We do limit the number of people allowed in at one time, so unlike many places, you don't have to soak with 100 other people. As for the... More

I am a big fan of hot springs and have spent time at many throughout the years, including a number of them in New Mexico. This was my first visit to Giggling Springs, located in the heart of Jemez Springs, one of the loveliest areas in New Mexico. Although this location only has one larger hot spring that accommodates about... More

My husband and I stopped at Giggling Hot Springs on our way from Santa Fe back down to Albuquerque. We didn't know what to expect, as we had been to another hot springs north of Taos that we felt would be hard to beat. Giggling Hot Springs was outstanding and we could not have asked for more. The setting is... More

This is a wonderful, peaceful, cared for place. Our family of 4 recently visited Giggling Hot Springs in the small resort town of Jemez Springs. We had no phone service and were on our way to an afternoon hike, so we stopped by, spoke with the owners and reserved a time for later in the afternoon. When we arrived, we... More

This place was amazing, it was peaceful and enjoyable. The scene around the area is nice and the people are very friendly. The lady explained everything to us before we went in. I hope to go back soon and I would recommend people to go visit.

I found their card at the visitor center kiosk at ABQ and booked a 1-hour soak. My two friends and I loved the place and really enjoyed the relaxing and beneficial waters amid the lovely scenery. Then we 'giggled' up to Santa Fe. My friends are locals so hopefully they will return soon. I would definitely book again also.

Great spot for a soak! My son and I had the place to ourselves and it was quite lovely. This is my second time there and I will continue to return. It seems a little pricey, but the tranquility is well worth it.. You can go cool off in the stream if the springs are too hot! Go, relax and... More
