Our water comes from deep beneath the Valles Caldera (ancient volcano) up the mountain. It is ancient sea water abundant with a relaxing and therapeutic blend of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silica, sodium and more. The source is 139 degrees F, but the pool is kept at a comfortable 102-104 degrees. The water is natural, and no chlorine or chemicals are added. We use ultraviolet light, ionizers and an oxygen inversions system to disinfect the water, and it is a flow-through pool, so the water changes out regularly. Swim suits are required, children 14 and over are welcome, and, for the comfort of our guests, the number of people allowed in at one time is limited--so reservations are recommended. « less

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a 1-hour soak. We went on a Thursday around noon and had the place all to ourselves. The staff was very cordial and welcoming, and everything was explained before we started. We were impressed with the cleanliness. The pool is very relaxing, with some seats submerged in the water like in a hot tub. A... More

We were at a real hot spring the night before but this isn't too bad at all. A man made natural looking pool fed by a natural spring and it is quite hot. There's a 10 person max capacity and they charge by the hour, FYI. Just outside the pool is a natural cold creek flowing past for those of... More

What a gem in the middle of the red rocks. Staff was friendly, the water temperature was perfect, and the sound of the river and the shimmering oak leaves fluttering in the wind made for a truly relaxing experience.

We visited this place about a week ago and I really didn't get a great first impression. I thought the rates were high and was surprised that you had to pay extra for the towels and even to take a show afterwards. I also thought that the man-made enclosure around the spring was a little cheesy, reminding me of a... More

Small, wonderful spring fed pool. There is shade for when you need it! The spring is not nearly as hot as in Truth or Consequences, which in my opinion is a plus. You can enjoy your full hour in the water! It's a little spendy, but very relaxing!

The mineral springs were not very hot, even at the spot that was supposed to be the hottest, and the price ($19.25, incl. tax for 1-hour) was high for what it was (bare bones, would have had to pay an extra couple of dollars if we wanted a mere towel). We wound up spending only 15 minutes or so at... More

The water is 139 degrees F, the pool stays between 100 and 105, which is obviously plenty hot for people to be in for an hour or two. Sometimes people don't pay attention when we are checking them in and possibly this person, creakysusan, was preoccupied when we were letting her know that there is a sign at the pool... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The host made us feel at home, and we just loved it there. The temp outside was a bit chilly, and the snow was falling off and on, but the water in the pool was perfect. The mineral springs were just what we needed. Highly recommend a visit to this wonderful place. Be sure and... More

Nice place to stop and relax for an hour or two. The pool is big enough for the allowed 6-8 people and the changing room/shower are very clean. Lots of fun touches like crystals and a path to the river. I would go back. not recommended for lots of kids.

The grounds were very cool to look at. They had two comfy hammocks and delicious smoothies. The proprietors would bring your smoothies spring side if you wanted them. There was a cold stream behind the hot spring to cool off if needed. We stayed a little over an hour and really enjoyed ourselves. It would be a great place to... More
