This is truly a world class venue that has held up over the last 20 years. Once rated in the top 5 Municipal courses in the country, it is still an amazing bargain. The only drawback the past few years is that the maintenance of the course isn't what it once was (pristine to just good). The greens seem to... More

We have played this course several times and always leave feeling frustrated by something. This trip was pace of play. Several attempts made to get the ranger involved to help move the play along. However after talking to the group once he didn't follow up and in fact left. Calls to club house didn't help. The group actually had a... More

Played this course twice in late Oct 2014. Course was in fabulous shape. Great greens. I had read that it was not walkable and my first round in a cart confirmed that position. However the next morning I played with three locals two of whom were walking. If you know the secret trails through the desert (and even the special... More

We golf all over the country, both public & private, and this is one of the prettiest courses we've played! Well-designed, well-maintained. The clubhouse and carts aren't new or special, however the course is beautiful. Several people were walking the course, however it's VERY hilly and could be a challenge to walk with clubs. We will play it again if... More

Beautiful layout, bluegrass fairways, some water holes. Target golf. Hone your putter skills, you will be challenged by the mult-tiered greens. Avoid weekend crowds; rounds can be as long as four hours plus. Try a tues or wed tee time for a better experience. Call ahead to be sure the course is not closed to the public due to the... More

Farmington is still steeped in the financial downturn. Lots of closed businesses and depressed people who could not care less about performing their jobs with any amount of pride. But this golf course is a must-play for the travelling golf enthusiast.

Affordable prices, unique terrain, and great views. I grew up in Farmington and have since played a few courses nationwide and some international. I still really enjoy playing this course whenever I am at home visiting. It is far superior to the Country Club or any others in the area. It was ranked top #5 in the nation for public... More

Excellent, challenging golf course and facilities. Second time to Pinon Hills and it did not disappoint. Well designed course in excellent condition with good pricing booked on Golfnow. Good lunch in the grill, also. Need to have your "A" game here, especially with the undulating greens. Unfortunately, I only had my "A" game for a few holes before it disappeared. Despite... More

This is the only course I've played in New Mexico, but based on my golf experience in 13 other states, I'd say it's well above average for municipal courses nationwide. For the hot, dry conditions, it's well kept, and most holes offer scenic views of the surrounding mountainous terrain. Bring your camera! (Just don't hold up the group behind you,... More
