We toured the winery with a group and had a guide to the wine processing area. A very informative visit. The tasting room is beautiful and full of fun things to with wine. They offered food with some of the wines but that may not be available on a drop in visit.

The owner is fourth generation Italian wine maker from Northern Italy who fell in love, married a local and now makes southern NM's best red wines! All his wines are great but his reds are fantastic. The tasting room is relaxed and a pleadure to be in. Unless you like sweet wines avoid the other winery in Deming.

First time - and definitely will come back-I did not have room for the beautiful looking gelato. We tried the antipasto and the pizza. Pizza with artichokes and prosciutto, with thin, delicate crust. We are local, sorry it took us so long to try Luna Rosa. Although we did not try the lasagna this trip, it looked like a picture... More

Paolo d’Andrea is a charming and hospitable winemaker from the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia where he learned his craft. We had a wonderful time sampling and buying his excellent wine and talking with him. His wife Sylvia, a native Southwesterner, has opened a marvelous pizzeria in Las Cruces, also called Luna Rossa, which we would also recommend.

The owner Paola is a fourth generation wine maker from Italy who fell in love with a local girl and created New Mexicp's best winery. The Nini is superb. You can't beat his Shiraz for value or flavor. The Tempranio is done more Italian style than Spanish or South American but is extremely good. Then there is his limited Reserve... More

This is what it is all about. A true winery that processes only its own grapes... and gold medal after gold medal after gold medal and we are talking International golds! Beautiful tasting room and gift shop. Shouldn't be missed!! And, they will ship to you as well!

We love to sample local wines when traveling. We had Luna Rossa on our destination list during a drive through New Mexico because it was intriguing that this Italian born winemaker was bottling many Italian varietals, along with others, from all New Mexico grown grapes including many grown right there on his own 32 acre vineyard. Our only disappointment of... More

Coming from Texas and from visiting many wineries in Napa Valley I was expecting to pay for a tasting, but ....to my surprise there was no tasting fee. The wines are very good too. I bought a few bottles of the Shiraz. They are reasonably priced and can ship to a few states. Don't expect ultra high quality, but for... More
