Clovis! The small town with a zoo!

For the size of Clovis this zoo is pretty cool. Don't expect to spend the whole day, and make sure you take something to drink but you can have good time at the zoo.

This is a very small zoo...admission is free for kids under 12 and $4 for adults. Well worth it. We enjoyed it immensely. Spent some time visiting with the bird man and watching him interact with the blue Macaw who simply ADORES him. All in all a great little stop. Plan to be there for 2 hours. Animals look healthy... This is a good day out for a family or just something to do. The Zoo is really good to walk around and enjoy. A good variety of animals.

We walked the zoo in about an hour, very surprised at how small the zoo is. Cages were very small and saw many animals just pacing back and forth. Many of the feeders for the geese were empty and ones that looked full ate our quarters. Despite the size the kids enjoyed walking around.

If you're looking for animals you'll find them here but not many and don't expect much from the maze of pathways. Price is pretty reasonable but I felt like the main attraction were the amount of peacocks, ducks and geese throughout the park. Didn't see any information about shows or places where people could pet animals. Many of the encounters... More

Thank you, Robert. for your review. You have touched upon several items that we are currently working on. Our Zoo has been in the same spot since the mid 50s and has been expanded in bits and pieces over the years, hence the maze of pathways. We do have a map of the grounds available at the ticket window, I'm... More

It's been a while since I've been to the 2nd largest zoo in the State of New Mexico. So many improvements have been made and the flow was great!

Clovis has done an excellent job improving the zoo and making nice trails and animal exhibits. The giraffes are one of my favorites!

I love the dog park. The park is well taken care of. Its big enough for both lil dog and small dogs to have lots of space. And the dog community there is really nice and friendly. They look out for each other's dogs. We made lots of friends there.

Since our first visit here this zoo has been updated a bit and the animals don't seem as depressed as the first few times we went. They have giraffes, bears, tigers, etc, but it is by no means a large zoo. Great to take the family to when they come visiting or to have a day out with the kids.... More
