Great place to relax up the top of the mountain, 360 degree views while chilling out among ancient ruins you can walk all over. Getting a help of tour guide is quite helpful. Little chapels inside the castle as well as residences is great. More

If you are in Berat don't lose the opportunity to visit it. you can fill immediately the history coming out from the walls. i suggest to hire a guide with small expences you can understand the real history of this nice sigh side. More

Visited in the off season and it was still worth while. We weren't able to go into some of the churches as they are currently being restored for the upcoming tourist season next year. Many of the walkways and paths were also under construction but they were happy to have us there and happy to let us wander through while... More

This was an unexpected delight. The views are spectacular and the history is overwhelming. Words cannot decribe the experience. Please refer to pictures. It is a little difficult to navigate once you are inside the "castle" because there a few signs and very little English is spoken, but if you are an "adventurer", you will be rewarded. long walk up slightly slippery cobblestone street but great views at the top. Worth the walk up. Cheap entrance fee. Patio bar was pleasant. More
