In patches where there are hotels / restaurants / guest houses the beach is nice and the perfect location for watching the sun set directly into the sea directly opposite. If you walk in either direction it doesn't take long to find lots of litter and rubbish, as well as the odd jellyfish washed up on shore. If you are... More

Pipes leading into the sea from beachfront establishments isn't very encouraging. Sewage? I can't think what else. Worse, there's a LOT of litter and other junk around, and I'm surprised at those who say the beach is clean. When I was there, there were also quite a few HUGE brown jellyfish washed up, and I had a few stings from... More

the beach is clean and quiet. If you are lucky, you can also see schools of small fish (ca bong) sparkling under the sunlight. My daughter was so exciting about this.

Maybe it was that time of year, but the beach was very slanted and thus, difficult to walk along. Notwithstanding all those reviews about dirty beaches, most of Bai Truong is clean.

A bit dirty and crowded - hotels are close together - positive side, everything is at your doorstep - easy walk to everything Duong Duong has to offer

Gorgeous island, beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. If you want to relax after a hectic trip around Vietnam then visiting here is a must.

The beach was a bit steep. But we did not stayed on it. Rented a boat from the restaurant on the beach to the small islet just about 800m away and went snorkeling, the 2 kids (11 and 5) really enjoyed the colorful fish and corals there. My baby girl usually gets seasick so we did not go to the... More

Not the nicest beach, compared to other islands in e.g. Thailand, but we had a good time here. You can find all sorts of accommodation depending upon your budget $8-12 for hostel shared rooms $40-60 for bungalows $80-120 for resorts with swimming pools $140+ for fancy resorts (peak season prices from new years to early Jan) Regarding bars we liked... But not much else. The beach where I was staying was dirty and the water was as well. Plus there were sea lice or something biting and itching. If you are content to just lie in the sun and then not swim give it ago, otherwise stick to the sunsets!

This is an exploited beach were resorts have been built shortsightedly. If youvre staying at one of the resorts, you may have a decent time here. If not - don't expect to be able to rent a sunchair. Jellyfish frequent the water that is quite polluted anyway. Also jetski-rentals are disturbing the peace. Food and service at most hotel-restaurants is... More
