Let me start by saying that I had rattled down a choice of 2 hotels in duong dong. One was on the beach ( cannot remember name) the other That I ended up booking set back up a small hill, it has great views and about 10 mins to beach. However, if I had known that the whole beach is... More

Lots of people. For a more relaxing beach, rent a motorbike and head north to Mango Bay - chill at the resort there and use their pool. Less people and great view.

We stayed at the Eden Resort. We are beach swimmers so we looked forward to this opportunity to swim in the sea. The sea is calm and agreeable enough but a minute after dipping into the sea, I started to feel prickings all over the body. This fact seems unknown and I've seen it mentioned nowhere. I don't know if... More

Long Beach is the largest beach on Phu Quoc. It is not the most beautiful, that award goes to Sao Beach, but Long Beach does have the most to do. It is located just North of Doung Dong Town and has plenty of beach front bungalows and bars and restaurants. It is crowded and at the time of my vacation... More

The south end of Long Beach, near the Long Beach Resort, has a wide, golden sands beach that's relatively clean. There are fewer resorts and services at this end of the beach, but chairs and drinks are available, as well as easy public access for relaxing on your own. From downtown Duong Dong, a taxi to Long Beach resort is... More

No major qualms but not the best either. Nha Trang has much better beaches. Get a massage for sure and spend some time at the tiny restaurants for lunch.

Water is oily and there is a lot of rubbish and plastic floating around. Sand near the shore is also dirty. Waste water seems to flow into a lot of beach areas.

There are different sections of the beach and some parts are much cleaner than others. The stretch between Cassia Cottage and Rory's is the beast as the resorts try to keep their sections of the beach clean. It also has the best places to eat where you can sit with your feet in the sand and enjoy the beach. After... More

Our hotel was located at this beach. Even though most of the resorts are located here, the beach is nice and quiet. You can get a massage for a good price, enjoy a beer with some food, or eat incredibly fresh mango which is carried around by the old ladies. The ocean is quite rough, a welcome contrast with some...
