2'nd time at Sao beach. Be aware of the wind. It can be strong during the windy season and make local sand 'storms' The beach is beautiful and if they could remove all the garbage even better. There are small restaurants for eating.

The scenery is really nice and it could be one of the best beaches in Phu Quoc providing that there were not piles of rubbish. We were extremely dissapointed to find the famous beach like this. It's unbelievable that the locals do not care. It seems that their preferred approach is to wait until the waste is taken back to... More

There was a lot of waste on The beach. I don't understand why Khong Sao doesen't clean their part of The beach well. Whereever you go, only go to khong Sao restaurant when you are fond of bad service and unpleasant surprises. I would give The restaurant 1 out of 5 if it were on tripadvisor. We ordered a coconutjuice,... More

This was our favorite beach in the island. The road to go there is a (funny) mess, but it worths it. We had jet ski twice, and also enjoyed some delicious dinner. Walk left to the end of the beach, you will discover a secluded beach club there, which is the best in the island!

Lovely looking beach but the amount of rubbish is a turn off. The toilets are not up to standard for a beach claiming to be the "best on the island" good for a short visit but wouldn't spend the day.

It’s a bumpy and pretty long ride on a motorbike to this beach from long beach but it’s well worth it. We hired a motorbike taxi and the guys had a snooze in a hammock while we had lunch, swam and generally lazed about. You could easily hire one and do this yourself if your game. This is where you’ll... More

I revisited this beach again and wow things have sure changed. There's a lot of trash in the water, especially in the southern end. There is also a lot more activity going on the beach and even a few beach vendors. The jetskis, the boats, and the careless tourists and tour operators are destroying this beautiful white sandy beach. You... More

First of all. This beach has the potential to be among the best of south east asia. white sand. clear water. little waves. great atmosphere and landscape. but it is mostly trashed. junk lying around. it destroys everything. but this is generally an issue in vietnam. it will probably get better when tourism picks up. it is still worth going... The beach at Bai Sao was so white and beautiful, definetly a must visit and worth the 1/2 hour cab ride out from the other side of town. We rented a lounger at the Long Beach Resort and had a nice local lunch. The "Blackening Fish simmered in claypot" was especially tasty. Tip! Plan ahead how much time you want... More

Bai Sao is definitely a place to experience in Phu Quoc. If I think about an unspoiled and idyllic white beach, for me it's Bai Sao. I'd recommend people to not miss Paradiso Restaurant (used to be Khong Sao) where the view and the waters is just breath-taking. I'd leave the resort where I'm staying at around 11:30 AM and...
