8/26/2014 14:00 hours This is my second review on Sao Beach . I just want to inform the readers that the ocean has gotten dirtier . There were lots of garbage bags floating in the water . I was shocked to come across a "sharp, jagged" broken beer bottle on the ocean floor . It could've been much worst if... More

Sao Beach aka Bai Sao Beach is THE BEST beach in all of Vietnam. The beach has white sand, turquoise waters, a calm bay, and tropical palm trees. The beach is not developed yet so come here now before it becomes the next Nha Trang. The road to the beach from Duong Dong town or Long Beach is very rough.... More

With me this is the best beach in Vietnam where the sea water is transparent and clean. The sand bank not sloping is another plus. Many activities available for a whole day spending at this beach: fishing, snorkeling, diving... Restaurants around also serve the fresh seafood and reasonable price.

this must be a must sea on Phu Quoc. You can stroll around on white squeaky sand and let the sea breeze play with your hair. The sea is swimmer friendly and if that is not to your taste , grab a hammock and order a cocktail instead.

Well worth a full day trip. We booked a private car from our resort and loved every minute of our day there. Water is shallow, clear and calm. Beach beds in the shade, food and drinks available. Just gorgeous

Gorgeous stretch of beach - great for longer beach walk or swimming. Can also buy food, drink, hire a hammock for a snooze too!

The beach is very clean with white sand. I saw many other guests took the tour to dive and discover Coral. Only challenge is the road leading to the beach, it is so bad. This can be improved by government attention

Difficult to get to but worth it in the end. Better to head towards the northern end of the beach as the southern end is becoming spoiled by over tourism and it shows in the rubbish left on the beach. This is a big problem all over Asia, not just Vietnam. Great beach for relaxing in the shade of the... More

We stayed at La Veranda which has a beach that is very nice but was not really impressed. We heard that Sao Beach was the most beautiful on the island and after a long journey trekking on a scooter, we finally made it! The beach is not packed with people, the sand cotton soft and white. The warm water was... More

Sadly, the beach is full pf garbagr and so is the dirt road leading to it. It is a pity as it could be such a paradise...
