If you are looking for a powder beach with palms with a good facilitate, my recommended beach is the Sao Beach. Tips: Good also at the rainy season About 30 km south to Duong Dong the road spiting from the main road is bumpy for about 2 km

It is a nice beach with wondeful sand. I spent wonderful time for fishing, snorkeling, and diving. It is wonderful sightseeing under deep sea

We hired a taxi to take us here. Had lunch at Paradiso (pricey for Vietnam) but they clean the beach and you can then lay in front of their place after eating. This end of the beach didn't have very many people, which made it enjoyable. I walked to the middle to get a beer from the hut and the... More

I have spent almost a full day with my wife at Sao Beach. We were at Mylan (place suggested by Lonely Planet if you want rent a kayak; however they were in a bad condition). We arrived at Vietnamese lunch time (around 11am) after a final 2.5km bumpy road. The place was crowded of uncivilized people judged from the enormous... More

We, a group of four friends, had lunch on Long Beach club along Sao beach at around 11:30 as the Vietnamese lunch time. Then, we rested and enjoyed this beautiful beach at around 1 PM, it was shining like fire burning during that time so we stayed under shadows nearby. Sao beach is beautiful with white sand, clean-water, and tall... More

Stopped in on this beach, as a part of a tour around the island. Lovely white sand beach - and nicely sheltered from the rainy season winds. Had lunch at Paradiso - which satisfied the more up-market tastes of the ladies in our tour party. That was a memorable lunch.

I found this beach to be the best Phu Quoc had to offer. Beside the horrible red clay road getting to the beach, this beach had the least trash, was shallow, and about 75% clear. It's basically a shallow harbor. If I ever return to PQ this is where I would go.

Phu Quoc is the island remains a wild character and atmosphere of fresh, white sand and blue sea, my husband and I came here two years ago and currently remains untouched, clanged busy port, fishing vessels and stretched row springs on the island attracted us, we like Phu Quoc a mysterious beauty. We will come back !

My hubby and I first found this beach on an organised tour, teaming with locals on holiday and my idea of a nightmare! But after a walk up the north end we stumbled upon a a lovely looking bar which had some accommodation attached. It's called the Beach House formerly known as Ghecko Jack's. The cost is $50, there and... More

The beach was quite dirty with a lot of broken bottle glass . Unfortunately seems to be the most exotic place that Phu Quoc can offer. I personally wouldn't recommend Phu Quoc to any one.
