I cannot agree more with the previous comments about this place. One end is a tourist hotspot - absolute hell that is being destroyed by its own people, nevermind the tourists they were picking up the rubbish... Enter the beach at El Paradiso and enjoy the paradise there with clear blue waters and white dusty sand. Possibly the nicest beach... More

The road to get to this beach is filled with major potholes. The beach is nothing special and the time and possibility of vehicle damage is not worth the trip.

We first came to find this beach almost a year and a half ago. It was nearly deserted, with just a few restaurants set up, only a handful of people, with the most clear blue waters in all of Vietnam. We returned today and I am so appalled at the state of the beach, it's made us never want to... More

I stayed at Sao beach during the rain season (end of August) for 3 days with my mum and sister. Nature wise, it's a stunning little spot with fine white sand, coconut palms and (what I would assume being crystal clear during dry season) blue water. Not bad. BUT the rubbish and big pools of brown waste water really brings... More

It's a high season so it's a little crowded by I don't mind. This beach is one of the clearest and most beautiful beaches I've seen in Vietnam ( beside My Khe beach in Da Nang). White sand, crystal clear water, fresh seafood, juicy coconut water. All in all, it's a great trip to me!

After hearing that this was the best beach in Vietnam, we were keen to go. Unfortunately, this was not the case in my opinion. The sea was a lot calmer than on the other side of the island where we were staying. You can walk really far out and the water was only up to your knees. The surrounding mountains... More

WE visited Sao beach which is on the sheltered side of Phu quoc island .After all the rave reports of travel reps ,all it was, in fact was a small beach with nice yellow sand ,and the usual eateries .I much preferred the east side of the island with a much larger beach albeit wilder .

This could be a beautiful beach. When you arrive the closest areas of the bar and beach are packed. We walked further up the beach to find a quieter spot. Abit quieter but around us the beach and sea was filthy. At the back of the beach in the palm trees was heaps of all kind of rubbish, which then... More

It supposed to be very beautiful beach with white sand and crystal-like seawater. You can walk very far into the sea but still very safe and not over your head and even though there can be big waves on other side of island, it is still very calm in Bai Sao. You also can walk and climb to the rocks... More

Head to the north end of the beach and don't look south and you'll find an idyllic beach. Lot's of boats, jet ski's etc in the middle of the beach but head north and you'll find some nice bars that are pretty quiet.
