All beaches in Phu Quoc are environmental disasters. This is no exception with dirty sand under the water, plastic, foam and debris in abundance floating around. Like all Phu Quoc waters the water is oily and greasy.

We arrived expecting beautiful white sands but we found the beach was extremely polluted. A waste water pipe was dumping sewage into the water only 25 meters from the beach and the amount of floating plastic and glass waste was dangerous. This may just be because we visited in October and no-one bothers with littler-picking until November. Either way, it... More

Following a very bump car ride to reach Sao Beach - it is well worth it. The restaurant is excellent, as is the pristine beach. Kayak's and Jet Ski's are available for hire - or for the less adventurous - have a siesta in a hammock.

It is a shame what has been done to this bay. The scenery could be paradise with clear water, palm trees and white sand but add a lot of rubbish to these clear waters and sand and you have Sao Beach. Such a sad reality... Not worth the bumpy road at all!

While the beach looked beautiful and we here that the island tour from there is the best, we unfortunately met with rain and the journey to Sao Beach was traumatic with mud paths everywhere.

After arrived Phu Quoc & checked in hotel, rent a motobike, ride to Bai Sao beach which is about 30 km from Duong Dong main town. A bit tired to travel that long huh? But you will see it's worth. Sea water is cleaner & clearer, air is more purity than other places. It's also quite and cool here so... More

Gorgeous white sand beach, however it is far from many things on Phu Quoc island. The scene is family oriented and somewhat lively and the water is very clean!

Classy look. Classy beach. BUT beds paid. We were there only for an hour, and it was surprisingly :) Just need to go to the fork at the sign to the left rather than the right, there are fewer people and more enjoyable.

I just stopped by here for an hour and that was about all the time I wanted to spend there. This beach could be beautiful but it needs to be cleaned up! The water is fairly clean but by the afternoon it feels like a bath as it's not very deep at all. You can easily walk out 200 metres... More

We came there during the day for a visit and the beach was quite dirty from seaweed and so on and the worst is they rent jetskis right next to it and those things are really loud so its not a place to relax much. About the seaweed it should be said that in Phu Quoc the tide brings the... More
